Scuba Diving Boots

Consider both the walk to the water and the space inside your fin pocket. A substantial sole can change fin fit compared with a thinner boot. Check ankle height, zip design and sizing, and compare the boot and fin together whenever possible.

Check the foot pocket and footwear guidance for your exact open-heel fin model. Try the boot and fin together where possible, using the boot thickness you plan to wear. A larger sole can need more room even when two boots share the same shoe-size label. Check the boot’s own size chart rather than applying a fin chart to the boot.

Looking for lighter footwear for beach trips and time around the water? Compare reef shoes and water shoes. Follow your fin model’s footwear requirements rather than substituting a beach shoe for a dive boot.

Compare sole construction, ankle coverage and the listed zip or pull-on design for your activity. A rock boot used over a drysuit sock and a neoprene dive boot have different fitting requirements. Rinse and dry footwear as directed and check its condition before use.
