What to compare before choosing

Check whether the product is designed for surface use or delayed deployment and read the manufacturer's instructions. Compare packed size, visibility features and the reel or spool arrangement. Choose the complete system around your training and practise its use under suitable instruction.

Choose the size and inflation arrangement

Compare the marker’s packed dimensions, inflated height and manufacturer-approved inflation options. Closed and open designs have different operating requirements. Read the model’s stated use and any valve information, then choose the combination that matches your training rather than assuming every buoy operates the same way.

Pair the marker with suitable line storage

Browse dive reels and spools and check line length, attachment points and how the complete kit fits your pocket or pouch. Team signalling conventions, including colour use, should be agreed before a dive. A product description is not a substitute for learning and practising deployment with suitable instruction.
