Scuba Diving BCDs

Choose a scuba diving BCD (buoyancy control device) for your usual equipment setup and dive trips. Compare jacket and rear-inflation BCDs, lightweight travel options and modular systems, then check the fit, lift and components supplied with the exact model and size.

Compare fit and equipment configuration

Start with your preferred configuration and the conditions you dive in. Compare harness fit, lift, dry weight, storage and cylinder compatibility. A compact travel design and a backplate system solve different needs, so weigh the features against your own diving routine.

Jacket BCD, rear-inflation BCD or backplate and wing?

Jacket style BCDs, rear inflation BCDs and backplate and wing systems organise their air cells and harnesses differently. Compare adjustment, storage and cylinder support with the exposure suit you wear. Check the size-specific lift and weight-pocket specifications.

Buying for travel or a specialist setup

For a dive holiday, compare travel BCDs using both packed dimensions and dry weight. For sidemount BCDs, work from the equipment configuration used in your training. Check all included components before treating a modular selection as a complete system.
