The 3 Atmosphere float was the brainchild of two of our founders, who wanted to create a float that could withstand the abuse of game fish while remaining travel-friendly for trips to the Coral Sea and other Bluewater destinations.

Durability is paramount. If you’re halfway around the world lining up on the fish of a lifetime, you can’t afford for your float system to let you down. You need complete faith in your setup in the moments leading up to that one shot.

Lift capacity is crucial. It’s what slows the fish down and allows you to fight it. You need enough lift to slow the fish down, but not so much that the shaft will tear out on the first run. It’s a delicate balance between lift capacity and float shape.

Fill pressure is key to landing large fish. Lift capacity is measured at the surface, but as you descend, it decreases significantly. If you fill the float to only ambient pressure, the fish will run unhindered, along with your entire setup, into the depths. By creating a float that can be filled to extremely high pressure, it maintains its buoyancy for longer, slowing the fish down and bringing it back to the surface more quickly.

Only the highest quality construction methods allow a Dive Float to reach a working pressure of 44psi. Our dual-layered design, featuring an internal bladder reinforced with high-grade grid webbing across critical pressure points, enabled us to achieve the desired level of performance. Each float sold has undergone extensive cycle inflation testing and is subject to strict quality control inspections.
