DSAT Gas Blender Course
Why become a DSAT Gas Blender for Nitrox or Trimix Blending?
It’s a way to gain the necessary knowledge about how to safely mix enriched air or to learn about the various hardware options available and the pros and cons of each.
The DSAT Gas Blender course not only increases your professional qualifications, but it also covers a fascinating subject in an easy-to-follow, uncomplicated way.
You will also learn the importance of handling oxygen correctly And is dealt with extensively, including why high-pressure oxygen can cause fires or explosion if mishandled. You are shown what types of materials are compatible with oxygen and why some kinds of ‘standard’ materials must be avoided (e.g. silicone grease).
The type of oxygen you can use, the quality of air needed to mix with it, and the various mixing systems are all covered, including partial pressure mixing, continuous flow, pressure swing absorption and differential permeability. These represent some of the practical options you might use for filling a cylinder, from the simplest case where you add some oxygen and top up with air, to a sophisticated, high-output system.
You can get one of two certifications: PADI Gas Blender or PADI Trimix Blender
