Cressi Quantum Mask with HD Mirrored Lens
The Cressi Quantum Dive Mask with HD Mirrored Lens uses the highest-grade tempered glass available in a dive mask. Using technology developed for producing 8K TVs, the glass allows for the transition of 99% of available light through the lens, improving colour, field depth, and the overall diving experience. The added benefit with the mirrored lens is Pelagic fish have their interest increased by the flicking reflection, and they can not see your eyes.
This dive mask offers enhanced vision downwards and avoids the fogging phenomenon through the internal thermoregulation of the warm, damp air exiting the nose. This air is channelled by a system of membranes set in the moulding around the eyes and nose and deviating the flow towards the silicone skirt rather than the lenses.
The outer part of the skirt features a cooling system composed of two small heat exchangers that act as radiators. The effect is that the temperature inside the mask drops, coming closer to the external temperature, and the droplets of humidity are trapped before the air reaches the lenses, preventing them from fogging up. Thanks to its matte coating the mask’s components all match, enhancing the underwater experience since it prevents reflections in the water that may disturb marine life.
Despite the small internal membranes deviating the airflow and the external heat exchangers, the body of the Quantum mask is compact and represents the most advanced design offered on the underwater vision market.
