Built with Apeks’ usual exacting build quality, the EXOTEC is a perfect blend of form and function.
The patented Wrapture Harness System provides exceptional comfort and stability for scuba divers. Its ultra-thin back plate and swivel shoulder buckles prevent the BC from riding up on the surface. When out of the water, the Wrapture keeps the cylinder close to your centre of gravity and transfers the weight to your hips.
This design allows you to stand upright with a perfectly vertical cylinder. The Wrapture Harness System works in harmony with the BioReact articulating waist system for maximum comfort and freedom of movement. Multiple size settings at the top of the shoulders and either side of the waistband enable a custom fit through three sizes. A three-position height adjustable backplate further optimises the fit. Apeks EXOTEC Grey BCD Features

- Wrapture Harness System – Using patented swivel shoulder buckles and a proprietary, ultra-thin backplate, the Wrapture provides unsurpassed comfort and stability. Wrapture prevents the BC from “riding up” on the surface. Out of the water, the Wrapture keeps the cylinder close to your centre of gravity and transfers the weight to your hips. The result is the ability to stand up straight with a cylinder that is perfectly vertical.
- Also has a mounting point for an optional crotch strap that can be fitted (Crotch strap not included)
- Because of the multiple size settings at the top of the shoulders, as well as either side of the waistband, a custom fit can be achieved through any one of 3 sizes.
- SureLock II Mechanical Weight Release System (patented) – provides a safe, single-pull release. Inserting the weight pocket is as simple as inserting and “click”. Once engaged, the only way to release the weight is to pull on the handle. With SureLock, your weights are secure in the BC.
- Two trim pockets are located at the rear of the Surelock weight pocket and can hold up to 2.5kg
- There are four dump valves in all, one in each corner. Three are proprietary flat valves that are very streamlined and effective. The dump valve on the upper left is the rapid exhaust valve found at the top of the Powerline inflator.
- The Powerline inflator assembly boasts one of the fastest inflation rates in the industry. This environmentally sealed unit has integrated clips to keep the 27″ Miflex LP inflator hose tucked in securely.
- A dual bladder retraction system is used to pull in the sides of the bladder during deflation. This keeps the unit streamlined and reduces drag.

What’s In the box: 1st stage, 2nd stage, and hose.
First Stage
- Chrome plated brass body with heat exchanging ribs for maximum thermal performance.
- Ribbed diaphragm clamp for improved heat exchange in cold water conditions.
- Unique over-balanced diaphragm design – as the diver descends, the over-balancing feature allows the medium pressure gas in the hose to increase at a faster rate than ambient. This results in superior performance at depth.
- ACD system prevents water ingress.
- 5 x medium pressure ports for improved hose orientation, 2 x angled high pressure ports for optimal hose routing and fitting of transmitters.

Apeks Pressure Gauge
The Apeks submersible pressure (contents) gauge, with an internal Bourdon pressure measuring mechanism, gives you clear information on the gas contents of your cylinder. The gauge indicates the cylinder bottle pressure, and the dial range is from 0 to 360 bar. The dial face is designed with clarity in mind by being uncluttered, with large black figures on a luminous background giving a long phosphorescent effect. This makes viewing as easy as possible, even in poor visibility conditions.
Apeks Pressure Gauge Features:
- The gauge case is made from nickel-plated brass
- The dial window is made of highly shock-resistant material (anti-splinter polycarbonate)
- A specially designed housing protects the gauge and HP hose fitting from accidental damage
- A large loop area designed into the housing allows for easy attachment.
- There is an over-pressure capsule fitted in the back of the module to prevent the screen from exploding in the unlikely event of the internal mechanism failing.

Clearance and Non-returnable Items
Special order merchandise or any item indicated on the website as non-returnable is as such. Clearance items are not refundable and may not be returned unless there is a clear warranty issue or fault with the product. Warranty Information
From the date of purchase until the expiry of the relevant period of time specified below for the product, Aqua Lung Australia warrants that our products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship. Aqua Lung Australia’s liability under this warranty is limited to the repair, replacement or refund of the product, at the discretion of Aqua Lung Australia.
This warranty is subject to the ‘Warranty Conditions’ and compliance with the claim procedure set out below.
Warranty Conditions
Subject to the statutory guarantees that apply to goods and services purchased by Consumers (as defined in the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)), this warranty will not include or extend to:
- defects or damages caused by improper use (including use outside of the recommended use, or use of the product beyond its designed or intended purpose, improper maintenance, neglect, unauthorised repairs, modifications, accidents, fire or casualty;
- fair wear and ageing of the product that occurs as part of its normal operation and use;
- cosmetic damage(s), such as scratches, nicks and fraying, unless the product is new and such damage is notified to Aqua Lung Australia within a reasonable time of purchase.
Consumers should refer to the owner’s manual for additional information on the correct usage and maintenance of Aqua Lung Australia products.
Duration of Warranty
Computers, Gauges and Instruments:
- 2-year limitation on warranty in relation to all Gauges and Computers used in a rental or hire.
- 1-year limitation on warranty in relation to all Accessories, consumable Parts, included but not limited to cables hoses and straps.
- 5 year limited warranty on Computers, with no limitation on the number of dives during this period. This warranty does not extend to equipment used for commercial, Military or rental purposes.
Regulators
Limited Lifetime Warranty:
No limitation on the number of dives during this period. This warranty does not extend to equipment used for commercial, Military or rental purposes.
The warranty will cover the original owner against defects in material and workmanship if the regulator is:
- Purchased from an Authorized Aqua Lung Australia Dealer
- Inspected or serviced annually by an Authorized Aqua Lung Australia Dealer.
- 1-year limitation on warranty in relation to consumable Parts.

Limited Lifetime Warranty:
Buoyancy Compensator Replacement on a Pro-Rated Basi
Buoyancy Compensator under the Limited Lifetime Warranty that malfunction due to material or manufacturer defects that have also had a significant amount of use will be replaced on a pro-rated basis. Prorating will be determined by a percentage factor based on the condition of the product and how long the product was used prior to the warranty claim. This can be useful to evaluate Limited Lifetime Warranty claims since the warranty period is for the “useful life of the product” and not a set length of time. The following guidelines should be used in determining what pro-rated percentage will be used.

How to make a claim
All warranty claims must be in writing and submitted to the place of purchase of the relevant product, together with details of the claim and proof of purchase as soon as the defect or damage has become apparent. You will also need to return, or make available, the product to the place of purchase for inspection.
The cost of claiming the warranty is your responsibility.
Your Rights under the Australian Consumer Law:
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
