How to measure your BCD
- Ask someone to help. Stand upright, look forward and keep your feet flat on the floor. Use a soft tape held close to the body without pulling it tight.
- Waist: measure around your natural waist between your ribs and hips.
- Check the BCD over the exposure suit and layers you will dive in. Adjust the shoulder and waist straps, then check that you can breathe and move comfortably with the BCD inflated.
- TUSA lists estimated waist ranges. Confirm the harness fit over the suit you will use; a waist measurement alone is not a complete fit check.
