Kids Snorkels
Find a kids snorkel with a junior mouthpiece that feels comfortable alongside their mask. Compare the Cressi Iguana Dry Junior and TUSA Sport USP-140, including the difference between a closing dry top and a semi-dry splash guard. Choose by mouthpiece fit and your child's ability to use and clear a snorkel, rather than age alone.

A junior mouthpiece should let your child close their lips naturally without stretching or clenching their jaw. Position the snorkel beside the mask so the mouthpiece reaches comfortably, then check that the keeper holds it securely on the mask strap.
Smaller mouths vary, so a junior label is a starting point rather than a guaranteed fit. Read the individual product guidance and let your child try the mouthpiece before swimming. If it feels bulky or pulls at their mouth, ask our team for help choosing.
Cressi dry top or TUSA semi-dry?
The Cressi Iguana Dry Junior has a closing dry top to help reduce water entering from above when the top is submerged. Its silicone mouthpiece and lower purge valve help with comfort and water clearing.
The TUSA Sport Youth USP-140 uses a Hyperdry semi-dry splash guard. It helps reduce splashes entering at the surface, but does not seal the opening like a dry top. It also has a silicone mouthpiece, lower drain chamber and purge valve.
Choose the design your child can use comfortably. A lower purge valve gives collected water an outlet; it does not make a snorkel dry or remove the need to learn water-clearing skills.
Help them get comfortable at the surface
Start in shallow, calm water with close adult supervision. Help your child practise breathing through the mouthpiece and clearing water before heading out to snorkel. Pause if they are uncomfortable, tired or unsure.
A snorkel is for breathing at the surface with its opening above the water. It does not supply air underwater. A dry top or splash guard does not make the equipment a flotation aid or replace adult supervision.
Care and the rest of their kit
Rinse the tube, mouthpiece, top and purge valve with fresh water after use. Flush out sand gently, air-dry in the shade and check the mouthpiece, keeper and valves before the next swim. Follow the exact model's care instructions.
