Salvimar ARES Speargun
The Salvimar ARES Speargun combines an elliptical aluminium barrel, an integrated shaft guide and an adjustable trigger in a conventional twin-rubber setup. Available in 85, 95 and 105 cm, each size comes with a 7 mm shaft and two 14 mm Salvimar Eptagum rubbers with Dyneema wishbones.
A stable platform with a clear sight line
The anodised barrel has external ribs for added stiffness, while the integral guide supports the shaft along the barrel. A rear sight works with the shaft’s line-of-sight alignment system to provide a consistent aiming reference.
Self-centring release and adjustable trigger
Salvimar’s R.F.S.C. mechanism uses rolling friction and a self-centring release system. The adjustable trigger uses M.I.M. (metal injection moulding) technology, and the line release can be configured on either side to suit your preferred line routing.
Practical rigging details
- Twin 14 mm Eptagum rubbers: circular bands with Dyneema wishbones form the supplied power setup.
- Separate muzzle openings: the band holes keep the rubbers aligned alongside the shaft and accommodate 14 or 16 mm bands.
- Enlarged line passage: extra room at the muzzle makes routing the shooting line easier.
- Attachment point: a 4 mm stainless-steel ring beneath the handle provides a connection point for your rigging.
- Salvimar reel compatibility: the mounting system accepts compatible Salvimar reels.
Choose from 85, 95 or 105 cm to suit your preferred gun length and diving conditions.
Care after diving
Rinse thoroughly with fresh water after use and allow the gun to dry in the shade. Check the rubbers, wishbones and shooting line for wear, and store the gun unloaded away from direct sunlight and heat.
