Ocean Hunter Blue SGS Speargun 100–120 cm
The Ocean Hunter Blue SGS is a straightforward speargun for divers starting out in spearfishing. An extruded aluminium barrel, closed muzzle and Surelock firing mechanism form a practical setup, while the 14 mm dipped-latex rubber and loading butt help make loading manageable. This listing offers the 100 cm and 120 cm barrel lengths.
6.5 mm stainless-steel shaft with two head choices
The supplied 6.5 mm stainless-steel shaft accepts interchangeable Mako and cluster heads, with both head styles included as standard. The removable heads let you change the tip to suit your preferred setup or replace a damaged head without replacing the complete shaft. Check that the selected head is securely fitted before use.
14 mm dipped-latex rubber and Dyneema bridle
The SGS uses 14 mm rubber made from dipped latex, paired with a Dyneema speed bridle. The replaceable bridle makes it easier to maintain this wear item without changing the whole rubber assembly. The ergonomic rear handle and included loading butt provide a comfortable contact point while loading.
Aluminium barrel and closed muzzle
The extruded aluminium barrel keeps the construction light and practical to handle. A streamlined closed muzzle guides the shaft during loading, while the Surelock firing mechanism includes a line release to hold the shooting line in place until the shot. The muzzle also incorporates Ocean Hunter’s power-up option.
Choosing your length
Select either the 100 cm or 120 cm model from this page. These are nominal barrel lengths, rather than the overall assembled length including the shaft. The Blue SGS range also includes 60 cm and 80 cm models.
Care, rinsing and storage
Rinse the unloaded gun with fresh water after each dive, including the muzzle, shaft, head connection, line release and handle. Allow it to dry in the shade before storage, and keep the rubber away from heat and direct sunlight. Check the rubber, Dyneema bridle, shooting line and head connection for wear before each use. Follow Ocean Hunter’s instructions for handling and maintenance.
