Ocean Hunter Redback Railgun with Cluster
The Ocean Hunter Redback Railgun with Cluster is a compact option for close-range spearfishing in shallow water and lower visibility. Available in 50 cm and 70 cm lengths, it comes with a 7 mm marine-grade stainless-steel shaft and a five-barb cluster head, making it a practical choice for bottom-dwelling fish such as flathead and flounder.
Stainless-steel shaft and cluster head
Both sizes use an M6 threaded shaft fitted with the cluster head. The spread of the cluster points provides several contact points and can help hold smaller fish. The threaded connection also allows the head to be replaced separately when needed.
Supportive rail and comfortable handling
The aircraft-grade aluminium barrel has an integrated rail that supports the shaft along its length. A glass-filled nylon handle houses stainless-steel trigger components and a stainless-steel line release, while the loading butt provides a more comfortable contact point during loading.
A single 16 mm powerband with a Dyneema bridle is supplied. The closed double-band muzzle keeps the familiar Redback layout and also accommodates alternative band configurations, including a second 16 mm band or a pair of 14 mm bands.
Included rigging
- Single-wrap 400 lb monofilament: supplied with crimps as the shooting line.
- Gun bungee with swivel clip: connects into the shooting-line setup.
- Shark clip with swivel on the handle: provides an attachment point for your float line.
Care and storage
Rinse the speargun, shaft, cluster head and rigging with fresh water after use. Allow everything to dry out of direct sunlight before storing it in a cool, dry place. Check the bands, Dyneema bridle, shooting line and crimps for wear, and replace worn parts according to the manufacturer’s guidance.
