Rob Allen Timberline GT Carbon Speargun 120 cm
The Rob Allen Timberline GT pairs a carbon barrel with a mahogany sleeve for a rigid speargun with the added mass and buoyancy of timber. This 120 cm model combines twin 16 mm rubbers, a 7.5 mm spring-steel shaft and an open muzzle in a conventional railgun setup.
Carbon and mahogany barrel
The shaped mahogany sleeve reinforces the carbon barrel and helps manage recoil. Its cuttlebone profile keeps the vertical profile low to make tracking through the water easier. Each Timberline is balanced in a seawater tank for its supplied configuration, while the Danish-oil finish retains the natural feel of the timber.
Clear sightline and familiar handling
The open muzzle keeps the aiming line clear and incorporates band lifters and a line anchor. A Vecta 2 handle and trigger assembly, integrated loading butt and sear-activated stainless-steel line release bring familiar Rob Allen controls to the hybrid barrel.
Supplied shaft and rigging
- Twin 16 mm powerbands and a 7.5 mm double-notch spring-steel shaft.
- Black 400 lb monofilament shooting line.
- Gun bungee with snap clip.
- Integrated dovetail mount for a compatible optional reel; a reel is not included.
Care and storage
Rinse the unloaded speargun with fresh water after use, including the handle, muzzle and line-release area. Allow it to dry before storage, and keep the rubbers away from direct sunlight and heat. Check the bands, wishbones, shooting line and clips for wear before each outing. Follow Rob Allen’s care guidance for the shaft and timber finish.
