Salvimar Ares Nightmare Speargun
The Salvimar Ares Nightmare combines the Ares platform with an all-black finish, an elliptical aluminium barrel and a configurable line release. Supplied with two 14 mm rubbers and a 7 mm shaft, it is offered in nominal lengths of 85, 95 and 105 cm.
Elliptical barrel with integrated shaft guide
The anodised barrel has an elliptical cross-section with external reinforcing ribs to support rigidity. An integrated guide runs along the barrel to support the shaft, while the rear sight and line-of-sight alignment system give you a clear visual reference along the gun.
Features and supplied equipment
- R.F.S.C. mechanism: Salvimar’s Rolling, Friction, Self-Centring release system is paired with an adjustable M.I.M. trigger.
- Two 14 mm rubbers supplied: the muzzle has separate band openings rated for compatible 14 or 16 mm rubbers; the supplied configuration uses two 14 mm rubbers.
- 7 mm shaft: included with the gun as standard.
- Left or right line release: the release can be configured on either side to accommodate your preferred layout.
- Enlarged line passage: provides more room for the shooting line at the muzzle.
- Reel compatibility: the platform accepts compatible Salvimar reels, giving you an option for future equipment choices.
Length options
Choose the 85, 95 or 105 cm model from the size selector. These are nominal gun sizes, not overall measurements including the shaft. If you need help comparing the available options, contact the Dive Gear Australia team.
Care and storage
Rinse with fresh water after use to remove salt and sand, then let the gun dry out of direct sunlight. Store it unloaded in a cool, dry place. Check rubbers and shooting line for wear, and follow Salvimar’s instructions for care and professional servicing.
