Keep the familiar feel of a jacket BCD while gaining generous equipment storage. The Aquaride separates its shoulder and waist straps from the air cell, helping the harness retain its position as you adjust buoyancy, with expanding pockets and pre-bent D-rings for organising accessories.

Features and benefits

• Harness support. The shoulder and waist straps support the cylinder independently of the expanding air cell, helping maintain the fit as you add or release air. Set the straps over your usual exposure suit before entering the water.
• Accessible weight handling. The Flat Lock Aid system secures removable ballast in dedicated pockets. The release handles make the weights accessible when required; check both pockets are fully locked after fitting them.
• Useful storage. Storage includes expanding zipped pockets. Keep accessories together in the available pockets.

Fit and configuration

Select the appropriate size or harness adjustment for your body and exposure suit. Choose enough lift for your complete cylinder and equipment configuration. Care, rinsing and storage

After every dive, rinse the BCD, harness, buckles and accessible fittings with fresh water, paying attention to salt and sand around the inflator, dump valves and weight-pocket releases. Follow the Cressi manual’s procedure for the fitted inflation system, including keeping the power inflator pressurised where specified.

Dive Gear Australia recommends Gear Aid Revivex BC Cleaner 10 oz for cleaning the outer surfaces and internal air cell. It helps remove salt, chlorine and residue while conditioning suitable rubber and plastic parts. Use the dilution on the cleaner’s label and follow the equipment manual.

Rinse the air cell internally through the opening specified in the manual, using fresh water and the recommended cleaner dilution when needed. Gently rotate the equipment to reach the inside surfaces, drain through the specified outlet, then rinse until the water runs clear. Drain thoroughly before drying.

Allow the BCD to dry in the shade, then store it slightly inflated in a cool, dry place without tight folds or heavy gear on top. Before diving, check that it holds air and that inflation controls, dump valves, straps and weight releases work correctly. Follow the manufacturer’s service schedule and have leaks, sticking controls or damage checked by an authorised technician.
