How to measure
- Ask someone to help. Stand upright, look forward and keep your feet flat on the floor. Use a soft tape held close to the body without pulling it tight.
- Height, head and neck: use the measuring points in Waterproof’s diagram.
- Chest or bust: measure around the fullest part, keeping the tape level.
- Waist: measure around your natural waist between your ribs and hips.
- Hips: measure around the widest part with your feet together.
- Neck to crotch: follow the body from the prominent bone at the back/base of your neck to the centre of the crotch.
- Neck to wrist: measure from the same neck point, over the shoulder and along the arm to the wrist.
- Inside leg: measure crotch to ankle for a wetsuit; crotch to floor for a drysuit. Use the matching row in the table.
All body measurements are in centimetres. Select the correct standard, tall or plus fit. For a drysuit, allow room for your usual undergarments; ask us if you are between sizes.

Follow the numbered diagram: 2 head circumference; 3 neck; 4 chest; 5 waist; 6 widest hip circumference. Measure 7 from the prominent bone at the base of the back of your neck (C7) to the centre of the crotch, following the diagram; measure 8 from the same neck point across the shoulder to the wrist with your arm out. For 9a, measure crotch to floor for a drysuit; for 9b, measure crotch to ankle for a wetsuit. Use the matching row for your suit type and take measurements in centimetres.

The Waterproof D1X Hybrid women’s drysuit adds an integrated 3D mesh insulation system to a flexible trilaminate shell. It is designed for divers who want a stable air space between the body and the suit, combined with replaceable silicone seals and practical storage for demanding dives.
Features and benefits
- Integrated 50D 3D mesh: spring-like nylon fibres separate the inner and outer layers, helping maintain an insulating air space when pressure pushes the suit against the body. The mesh also provides paths for air movement. The lining detaches for washing.
- Flexible trilaminate shell: Polytech 500 fabric and a Nylotech front combine durability with a shaped fit. The insulation choice still needs to suit your conditions and personal cold tolerance.
- Metal back dry zip: the extended YKK/BDM zip provides the main entry, protected by an outer cover. The Chill Guard behind it helps keep undergarments clear of the zip.
- Expandable Power Pockets: two zippered pockets switch between a slim profile and greater capacity. Lid grips, stainless D-rings and cord loops help organise and secure suitable accessories.
- Reinforced for repeated use: Kevlar knee panels and boots protect high-wear areas. A Cordura crotch panel and anti-slip seat add durability; the boot fin-strap ridge helps locate the strap.
- Replaceable silicone seals: the SI TECH Quick Neck and QCS wrist rings retain the seals mechanically, allowing compatible worn or damaged seals to be replaced without gluing a new seal directly to the suit.
- Warm Neck and Warm Cuffs: outer neoprene covers reduce water movement around the neck and wrists and help protect the seals. The cuffs can be detached when your setup requires it.
- SI TECH valves: a swivelling inlet lets the inflation hose sit conveniently; the adjustable automatic exhaust controls release of suit gas during a properly managed ascent.
What is included
The suit is supplied with SI TECH valves, a low-pressure inflation hose, a Waterproof carry bag, suspenders and a spare silicone seal kit. The Australian supplier package also lists an H1 5/7mm vented hood.
Dry-glove compatibility
The fitted neck and wrist systems accept specific replacement seals. Original Ultima/standard Ultima Twist compatibility depends on the wrist-ring size: larger rings on 3XL and 3XL/t+ suits do not accept the standard system directly. Confirm the ring system before buying dry gloves.

Fit and use
Choose your size with the intended undergarments on and check that you can reach your valves, bend your knees and bring your arms across your chest. Boot fit and seal fit also matter. FLEXIBLE NECKRING – The QUICK NECK ring from SITECH is a flexible ring for the neckseal. Follows the shape of your shoulders. Works with Latex, Silicone and Neoprene seals.
Gear Care and Washing
Rinse the suit’s exterior with fresh water after each dive, paying attention to the zip, valve exteriors and areas that collect salt or sand. Clean the seals and wash the suit only using the method and cleaner approved by the suit manufacturer.
If the inside needs cleaning or has become wet, follow the manual for internal rinsing and drying. Dry the inside and outside completely in a shaded, ventilated place, supporting the suit on a suitable wide drysuit hanger.
Keep the dry zip clean and use only the zip maker’s specified lubricant and application points. Follow its required open or closed position for drying and storage, and avoid bending the zip sharply. Maintain latex, silicone or neoprene seals using the instructions for that exact material.
Do not machine wash, iron, tumble dry or use solvents or strong detergents. Store cool and dry away from sunlight, heaters and ozone sources. Inspect seals, seams, zip and valves before diving and follow the manufacturer’s service schedule.
