How to measure your BCD
- Waist: measure at the waistline shown in the diagram, rather than using the size on your jeans. Keep the tape level.
- Over the shoulder (OTS): run the tape from your waistline at the back, over one shoulder, to your waistline at the front.
- Check the BCD over the exposure suit and layers you will dive in. Adjust the shoulder and waist straps, then check that you can breathe and move comfortably with the BCD inflated.
- Use the chart for the exact BCD model. Height and weight are guides; waist and harness fit also matter.

Aqualung Axiom i3 BC
The original Axiom i3 pairs side-lever buoyancy control with a supportive Wrapture harness. It suits divers who prefer a familiar control position at the side of the BCD, with integrated weight pockets and a GripLock cylinder band completing the jacket-style setup.
Features and benefits
- Support close to the body. The Wrapture harness holds the cylinder close and helps distribute its load through the harness.
- Side-lever buoyancy control. Operate inflation and deflation from the lever at the side of the BCD.
- Accessible weight handling. The SureLock II system keeps removable ballast within reach for loading and release.
- GripLock cylinder attachment. The buckle and strap adjustment help you set and secure the band for your cylinder.
- Durable construction. Construction uses resisteK for protection against wear during diving and handling.
