TUSA Lapis Freediving Mask
The TUSA Lapis freediving mask combines a compact silicone skirt with lightweight polycarbonate lenses. Its low-volume design leaves less air space to equalise, while the rounded skirt edge gives a softer contact with your face.
Features and benefits
- Compact skirt: brings the lenses close to your eyes and reduces the air space inside the mask. You still need to equalise the mask as you descend.
- Rounded silicone edge: spreads contact around the seal. Individual face shape determines the fit, so try it on without overtightening the strap.
- Slide Adjuster buckles: let you fine-tune strap tension, with the buckle arrangement separated from the frame.
- Treated lenses: anti-fog treatment helps manage misting, while UV380 filtering reduces ultraviolet transmission through the lenses. The treatment needs gentle care.
- Clear or mirrored options: choose the lens finish shown for your selected colour. WWD and BKBKD are the mirrored versions; mirroring helps reduce glare in bright conditions.
Choosing the fit
Check that the skirt sits evenly against your face and that you can comfortably reach your nose for equalisation. Keep hair clear of the seal and use only enough strap tension to hold the mask in place. Low internal volume is not a face-size measurement or a guarantee that the mask will fit everyone.
Care, rinsing and storage
Compatible cleaning products
For a coated, prescription or anti-fog-film lens, use only the cleaner or defogger approved by that lens manufacturer. Gear Aid Sea Drops is not recommended for prescription lenses or anti-reflective coatings. For a separate neoprene strap cover, if you use one, we recommend Cressi Neoclean Wetsuit Wash or Revivex Wetsuit Shampoo to clean compatible neoprene. Wash that component separately according to its care label and the cleaner’s dilution instructions, then rinse thoroughly and dry in the shade. These neoprene cleaners are not a recommendation for the mask lens or a regulator assembly.
Rinse with fresh water after use, including around the skirt and buckles, then allow the mask to dry in the shade. Protect the lenses from sand and rubbing. Do not use toothpaste, abrasive cleaners or flame treatment on the polycarbonate lenses or their coatings. Use only cleaning and anti-fog products suitable for treated plastic lenses, following the supplied instructions. Store in a protective case away from heat and direct sunlight, and inspect the strap, skirt and buckles before use.
