Aqualung SPG AL50 Pressure Gauge
The Aqualung AL50 is a compact analogue pressure gauge for an air regulator setup. A luminous dial, anti-glare window and protective boot keep the pressure display easy to handle, while the supplied hose allows it to sit within comfortable reach.
Features and benefits
- Readable pressure display. The luminous dial and reserve markings help you locate the pointer after exposure to light. Plan your own turn pressure and reserve for the dive.
- Anti-glare polycarbonate window. The viewing window reduces reflections over the dial and provides a lightweight protective surface.
- Protected metal housing. A nickel-plated brass instrument sits inside an elastomer boot, which cushions everyday contact and protects the connection area.
- Practical hose length. The 80 cm HP hose gives room to bring the gauge into view while keeping it retained close to your equipment.
- Overpressure capsule. The housing includes pressure relief for an internal fault. Keep this area clear rather than covering it with tape or an unsuitable holder.
Setup and compatibility
This black-boot AL50 is the air-only version. Its 0–360 bar scale is paired with a 300 bar working-pressure limit. Have the HP connection fitted and checked on a compatible regulator. Secure the gauge so it cannot trail below you, but leave sufficient movement for pressure checks.
Care, rinsing and storage
After each dive, rinse the gauge and hose thoroughly with fresh water. Keep the complete regulator assembled, connected to a secured dive cylinder and pressurised while washing and rinsing, with the stages, gauge and connected hoses submerged. This helps keep water out of the pressure system. Lift the equipment out and dry the cylinder connection before depressurising and disconnecting; fit the first stage’s clean, dry dust cap.
Use fresh water only: Aqualung’s AL50 instructions exclude chemical cleaning products. Let the instrument dry naturally away from direct sun and heat, with the hose loosely curved. Keep the protective boot in place and protect the gauge from impacts in storage.
Before each dive, inspect the lens, hose and connections, check for internal moisture and confirm normal pointer movement and a zero reading when depressurised. Arrange the manual’s annual inspection by an authorised technician, and an earlier check after an impact, leak or unreliable reading.
