At its centre is a stunning 2.4-inch full-colour AMOLED display with a sharp 450 x 600 resolution, protected by toughened aluminosilicate glass. An armoured body, precision-engineered titanium bezel and titanium piezo-electric buttons give the Perdix 3 the durability required for everything from everyday recreational diving to demanding technical and CCR environments.
Whether you dive air and nitrox today or plan to progress into multi-gas decompression, trimix or closed-circuit diving, the Perdix 3 provides the features and flexibility to grow with you.
Ultra-Bright 2.4″ AMOLED Display
The biggest improvement is immediately noticeable underwater.
The high-resolution 2.4″ / 6.1 cm AMOLED screen delivers brilliant colour, excellent contrast and readability. Compared with the Perdix 2, the Perdix 3 screen is 19% larger and offers four times the resolution, making critical dive information easier to see in a wide range of conditions.
Three selectable screen layouts let you choose the presentation that works for you:
- Standard – familiar, balanced display
- Big – giant fonts for maximum readability
- Tec – information-rich layout for advanced diving
Any of the three layouts can be used across the Perdix 3’s dive modes.
Customise the Display to Suit Your Diving
The Perdix 3 gives you extensive control over how your information appears.
Choose from 14 display colours to create thousands of colour combinations, helping you personalise the computer while improving the visibility of important information in different diving conditions.
Configurable information zones and three independent setting sets allow you to create different configurations and quickly change between them when your diving requirements change.
From Recreational Diving to Trimix & CCR
One of the Perdix 3’s greatest strengths is its versatility. It provides straightforward recreational modes while retaining the advanced functionality Shearwater is renowned for among technical divers.
Dive Modes

- Nitrox
- 3 Gas Nitrox
- OC Tec – multi-gas trimix decompression diving
- CC/BO – closed-circuit fixed PPO2 with bailout
- Gauge – bottom timer with stopwatch and dive logging
- Freediving – configurable sampling rates and alerts
- Avelo – unlock code required
The Perdix 3 uses the trusted Bühlmann Gradient Factors decompression algorithm and provides full decompression support, trimix capability and integrated NDL and decompression planning tools.
Wireless Air Integration
Monitor your gas directly from your wrist by pairing the Perdix 3 with compatible Shearwater wireless transmitters.
The computer supports up to four transmitters simultaneously, giving you the flexibility to begin with a simple single-cylinder setup and expand into more advanced multi-cylinder configurations as your diving develops.
Transmitters are sold separately unless specifically included as part of a package.
Swift GPS Transmitter Compatible
The Perdix 3 also supports the Shearwater Swift GPS Transmitter.
When used with Swift GPS and the Dive Shearwater app, your entry and exit coordinates can be captured at the surface and added to your dive log, allowing you to build a visual map of the places you have explored.
Swift GPS is an optional accessory and is not included with the standard Perdix 3.
Powerful Vibration Alerts
Shearwater’s strong customisable vibration alert system helps make sure important information gets your attention during the dive.
This is particularly useful in Freediving Mode, where vibration patterns can be configured for information such as depth and time, allowing the computer to communicate important alerts without requiring you to constantly look at the screen.
Digital Compass & Advanced Dive Planning
A built-in three-axis tilt-compensated digital compass provides convenient underwater navigation, while integrated NDL and decompression planners help you prepare for more complex dives.
The Perdix 3 also includes advanced decompression-monitoring features such as Surface GF ▲+5, which can show how your decompression stress would change if you remained at your current depth for another five minutes.
User-Replaceable AA Battery
No proprietary charging cable is required.
The Perdix 3 runs from a single user-replaceable AA battery, making replacement simple at home, on a dive boat or while travelling.
It ships with an Energizer Lithium AA battery, with Shearwater specifying up to approximately 60 hours of operation from this recommended battery type.
Approximate Battery Life
- 1.5V Lithium: up to 60 hours
- 1.5V Alkaline: up to 40 hours
- 3.6V Saft: up to 80 hours
- 1.2V NiMH: up to 30 hours
- 3.7V Li-ion rechargeable: up to 35 hours
Vibration functions require a compatible battery type.
Bluetooth & Dive Shearwater
High-speed Bluetooth provides fast communication with the Dive Shearwater app for dive log downloads, firmware updates and computer management.
Once paired, the Perdix 3 can also support automatic dive-log downloads to the app, making it easier to keep a detailed digital record of your diving.

A Dive Computer You Can Grow With
The Shearwater Perdix 3 stands out because it is equally comfortable supporting a recreational diver today and a much more advanced diving configuration tomorrow.
Its bright AMOLED screen and Big display option make everyday diving exceptionally easy to read, while air integration, trimix, decompression, CCR, freediving and GPS transmitter compatibility provide the capability required as your diving progresses.
For divers looking for a full-size computer with excellent visibility, straightforward controls and serious long-term capability, the Perdix 3 is an choice.
How the Features Help
- Reading the display: Colour presentation separates key data such as depth, dive time and gas information. Set brightness and the available screen layout before entering the water so the information you use is easy to find.
- Controls: The listed button layout provides access to settings and alternative views. Practise navigation with your normal gloves and exposure equipment before diving.
- Navigation: A digital compass brings heading information to the same instrument as your dive data. Calibrate it as instructed and practise the available bearing and reciprocal-heading functions on the surface.
- Cylinder-pressure information: With the specified compatible transmitter, the computer shows cylinder-pressure data at your wrist. Pair each transmitter to its correct gas and check the surface reading; gas-time estimates support your existing gas plan.
- Keeping your dive record: The supported connection transfers dive logs for post-dive review and, where supported, software updates. Optional external interfaces remain separate accessories unless included in this package.
- Power between dive days: A rechargeable battery avoids routine disposable-cell changes. Use the specified charging accessory and allow the instrument and electrical connections to dry before charging.
- Freediving records: The applicable freediving mode records breath-hold dive and surface information separately from scuba operation. Configure prompts for your training plan and follow the manual’s restrictions on changing between modes.
Choosing and Setting Up This Model
Compare the modes, gas capability, display and mounting arrangement with the diving you are trained to do. Check exactly what this listing includes, particularly transmitters, interfaces and charging accessories. Configure the computer using its own manual and confirm gases, alerts, units and battery status before diving. A depth rating describes an instrument limit and does not establish a suitable dive depth.
Gear Care and Maintenance
After every dive, rinse gently in fresh water to remove salt, chlorine and grit. Let residue soften by soaking only as the model’s manual permits, and operate buttons during rinsing only where instructed. Do not direct a high-pressure hose or compressed air at sensor openings, and never probe them with a tool.
Follow the care section of the exact Shearwater model manual for any cleaner; fresh water is the baseline cleaning method. Keep pressure-sensor openings clear by gentle rinsing, without scraping or high-pressure jets. Air dry fully in the shade before storage or charging.
Inspect the strap, attachment points, display and seals before use. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heaters and hot cars, with the screen protected from loose equipment. Follow the manufacturer’s battery-storage and servicing instructions.
Charge only with the compatible charger or adapter and the specified power source. Dry electrical contacts before connecting and follow the manual’s charging temperature and long-term battery-storage instructions. Rechargeable internal batteries are serviced only as the manufacturer permits.
