General care and maintenance
Rinse the OmniSwivel thoroughly with clean fresh water after every day of diving. Allow it to drip dry or gently dry it with a towel.
Do not leave the fitting soaking in dirty or contaminated water for extended periods. This may discolour the plating, although cosmetic discolouration should not affect its operation.
O-ring servicing
Replace the O-rings every 200 dives or 12 months, whichever occurs first. Use only O-rings approved by OmniSwivel International and follow the correct replacement guide or Standard Operating Procedure.
Installation
Installation should be performed by a suitably trained scuba-equipment technician:
- Thread the regulator hose onto the fitting’s 9/16″-18 male connection using firm hand pressure.
- Use a 5/8-inch hex wrench and the appropriate wrench on the hose nut to secure the connection until snug.
- Thread the OmniSwivel’s 9/16″-18 female connection onto the compatible 9/16″-18 male fitting.
- Use a 5/8-inch hex wrench to secure the fitting until snug.
- Avoid overtightening or using excessive force.
Important: Always perform a positive-pressure leak test before entering the water to confirm that every connection is secure and airtight.
