Hollis Brass Pressure Gauge
The Hollis Brass Pressure Gauge is a compact mechanical SPG with a luminous face and a tempered-glass lens. Its metal construction and separate hose connection suit divers building a pressure-gauge arrangement around their preferred routing.
Features and benefits
- Mechanical Bourdon-tube movement. Pressure changes inside a curved tube move the pointer, providing a cylinder-pressure indication without a battery or transmitter.
- Luminous 2-inch dial. The face remains visible after light exposure, helping you read the pointer as ambient light decreases.
- Brass body and tempered glass. The chrome-plated brass housing supports the instrument, while the hard glass window resists everyday surface wear. Protect both from heavy knocks.
- Connection components included. The air spool and Viton O-rings are supplied for assembly with a compatible HP hose, which is sold separately.
- Factory oxygen-clean condition. The gauge is supplied oxygen-clean. Retaining that condition requires suitable handling and a compatible clean hose, regulator and gas supply.
Setup and compatibility
The metric dial reads from zero to 360 bar. Choose an HP hose of the appropriate length, fittings and pressure rating, then have the assembly installed and leak-checked. For oxygen-service use, a suitably qualified technician must confirm the complete system and its cleanliness; the gauge’s factory condition alone does not approve the rest of the equipment.
Care, rinsing and storage
Rinse the exterior with fresh water after diving. Keep the gauge and hose attached to the correctly assembled, pressurised regulator on a secured cylinder during immersion, then lift everything out and dry the connection before depressurising and disconnecting. Keep the pressure inlet protected from water and contamination.
Preserve the gauge’s oxygen-clean condition throughout handling, cleaning and storage. Use only the manufacturer’s oxygen-service cleaning procedure and approved materials; ordinary wetsuit shampoo, oil and general-purpose grease are unsuitable for this purpose. If cleanliness is in doubt, have an appropriately qualified technician assess the equipment before oxygen-service use.
Dry in the shade and store with the hose loosely curved and the gauge protected from impacts. Inspect the lens, hose, fittings, pointer movement and depressurised zero before use; arrange servicing after a leak, damage, internal moisture or a change in the reading.
