Cressi T10-Sc Cromo Master Regulators
The Cressi T10-SC Cromo Master pairs a sealed diaphragm first stage with an adjustable Master Cromo second stage for cold-water diving. Separate controls for inhalation effort and Venturi assistance let you fine-tune the breathing feel, while the T-shaped first stage helps keep the hoses arranged close to the cylinder valve.
Features and benefits
- Dry environmental chamber. A sealed chamber keeps the first-stage spring mechanism away from surrounding water and suspended particles. This helps limit contamination and supports the regulator’s cold-water performance.
- Separate inhalation adjustment. The breathing-effort knob changes the initial effort needed to open the second-stage valve. It gives you a separate adjustment from the Venturi control, so you can fine-tune the breathing feel within the regulator’s operating range.
- Dive/pre-dive control. The Venturi lever changes how the air stream assists inhalation. Use the pre-dive position during surface handling and while an alternate second stage is stowed, then the dive position when breathing from it, following the manual.
- Elliptical diaphragm. The broad diaphragm provides a larger working surface without making the second stage unnecessarily tall. Together with the low-friction lever, it helps the valve respond to inhalation.
- Internal heat exchanger. Heat transfer around the valve helps counter the cooling caused by expanding gas, supporting operation in cold water. Correct cold-water equipment selection and procedures still matter.
- T-shaped first stage. Two high-pressure and four low-pressure ports provide routing options for pressure instruments, the primary regulator, octopus and inflators.
Setup and compatibility
Choose the DIN or yoke option to match your cylinder valve and pressure rating. Have the complete regulator assembly configured and checked by a qualified technician. The maximum usable pressure is limited by the lowest-rated component in the system.
Cold-water use requires the correct first stage, second stages and accessories, together with appropriate training and operating procedures. Follow the limits in the regulator manual.
Care, rinsing and storage
After each dive, connect the assembled regulator to a scuba cylinder and open the valve to pressurise the system. Keep it pressurised while fully submerging the first stage, second stages and connected hoses in fresh water. This allows thorough cleaning of the exposed components and hoses while helping prevent water entering the internal air passages, where it can cause corrosion and damage. Keep the cylinder secure throughout cleaning.
For routine cleaning, Dive Gear Australia recommends Cressi Neoclean Wetsuit Wash Neoprene Cleaner 500 mL or Revivex Wetsuit Shampoo 10 oz to help remove salt, chlorine and everyday residue. Dilute according to the cleaner’s label, then rinse thoroughly with fresh water.
Keep the regulator pressurised throughout washing and rinsing. Lift it out of the water and dry the first stage and cylinder connection before closing the cylinder valve, releasing the pressure and disconnecting. Fit the clean, dry dust cap, then allow the regulator to dry in the shade. Store it with the hoses loosely curved, without sharp bends or tension.
Before each dive, inspect the mouthpiece, hoses and connections for wear or damage. Have your regulator serviced by an authorised Cressi technician at the interval specified in its manual, or sooner if it leaks, is damaged or its breathing performance changes. Leave internal adjustments and repairs to a qualified technician.
