Cressi Raffaello Dive Computer

Cressi Raffaello large-display dive computer

The Raffaello pairs a broad, backlit screen with two metal control buttons. Its Dive program uses the Cressi RGBM algorithm, with additional modes for breath-hold use and depth/time monitoring.

• Dive, Free, Gauge and Off modes.
• Three gas settings: Gas 1 at 21–50% oxygen; Gas 2 and Gas 3 at 21–99%.
• Adjustable oxygen partial-pressure setting.
• Metric or imperial units.
• Ascent, decompression and oxygen alerts.
• Dive planning and logbook functions.
• User-replaceable battery and low-battery indicator.

Configure the computer for your gases and training. Gauge mode does not calculate decompression, and Off mode disables the dive sensors. Follow the Raffaello manual for operation and battery servicing.

More About This Model

The Cressi Raffaello Dive Computer is a diving computer with a flat, large display. It is thought to give the diver the data readability. Despite its thinness and lightness, it is very resistant and robust. The body of Raffaello reinforced material through micro-structured nano charges.

Cressi Raffaello features a mineral borosilicate glass, extremely resistant to scratches. Two sturdy metal buttons allow for easy access to data menus. They will not lock and function in any water condition, even in the presence of mud. The wristband is made of silicon. It is safe, robust and comfortable at the same time. The circuit architecture and its new-generation components allow an extremely long battery life.

How the Features Help

• Low-light viewing: The backlight helps you read the screen in dim conditions. Familiarise yourself with its activation and timeout so you can use it without searching through menus during the dive.
• Controls: The listed button layout provides access to settings and alternative views. Practise navigation with your normal gloves and exposure equipment before diving.
• Replaceable battery: The stated user-replaceable battery can be changed using the model’s prescribed procedure. Battery type, seals, tools and data-retention steps are specific to that computer.
• High contrast display. very large numbers, position for easy reading.
• Possibility to alternate nitrox and air dives during desaturation
• Graphis indicator of oxygen toxicity levels at CNS
• Uncontrolled emersion algorithm
• Depth chronometer can be reset
• Dive time in minutes/seconds
• Depth/temperature indicator
• Maximum depth of the dive
• Long-lasting battery
• Backlighted display
• Low battery warning
• Water temperature
• Average depth

Who is this computer for, and when is an upgrade useful?

The Raffaello provides a large backlit display, two-button control and three Nitrox gas selections. Those gas-switching functions are useful for divers trained to use them; they do not add Trimix capability. If you only need Air or single-gas Nitrox, compare the Cressi Donatello and decide which screen and controls you prefer.

Setting up this computer

Compare the modes, gas capability, display and mounting arrangement with the diving you are trained to do. Check exactly what this listing includes, particularly transmitters, interfaces and charging accessories. Configure the computer using its own manual and confirm gases, alerts, units and battery status before diving. A depth rating describes an instrument limit and does not establish a suitable dive depth.

Gear Care and Maintenance

After every dive, rinse gently in fresh water to remove salt, chlorine and grit. Let residue soften by soaking only as the model’s manual permits, and operate buttons during rinsing only where instructed. Do not direct a high-pressure hose or compressed air at sensor openings, and never probe them with a tool.

Use a soft cloth on the housing and screen. Use only the cleaning product and method approved in this model’s manual; avoid solvents, abrasives, bleach and strong detergents. Let the instrument and strap air dry fully in the shade before packing or charging.

Inspect the strap, attachment points, display and seals before use. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heaters and hot cars, with the screen protected from loose equipment. Follow the manufacturer’s battery-storage and servicing instructions.

Change batteries only using the specified cell, correct replacement seals and the manual’s procedure. Work on a clean, dry instrument, inspect sealing surfaces and follow any required pressure or leak test before diving. A compatible battery kit does not authorise opening a model that is not user-serviceable.
