Cressi Itaca Ultra Dry snorkel
The Cressi Itaca Ultra Dry is an Italian-made adult snorkel with an articulated Aquastop closure and a compact angled mouthpiece. Its flexible lower section and quick-release attachment let you adjust the snorkel to your mask and bite before heading into the water.
Features and benefits
- Articulated Aquastop system: A float, three moving joints and a counterweight operate the dry-top closure. The mechanism helps the valve reopen as the snorkel returns above the surface.
- Flexible lower tube: The corrugated silicone section lets the mouthpiece move with you and fall away when you switch to a scuba regulator.
- Angled mouthpiece: The soft silicone bite is shaped to sit naturally in the mouth, reducing the need to pull the tube into position.
- Lower water collection and purge: The two-part lower body channels collected water towards the valve beneath the mouthpiece for clearing.
- Quick-release keeper: Adjust the position on your mask strap and detach the snorkel for rinsing or packing.
Fit and use
Compare the reference dimensions, then check the mouthpiece with your own bite. Adjust the snorkel so the lower tube is relaxed and does not pull on your jaw. A closing dry top helps control water entry; it still needs to be checked and kept free of grit.
Use the snorkel for breathing at the surface with its opening above the water. Clear any water before taking your next breath; a snorkel does not supply air while submerged.

Care and storage
Rinse the tube, mouthpiece, top mechanism and purge valve thoroughly with fresh water after use. Flush away sand without forcing the valves apart. Let the snorkel air-dry in the shade, then store it away from heat and direct sunlight. Before your next swim, check the mouthpiece, keeper and valves for damage or trapped grit.
