The Elettra is a women’s jacket BCD with contoured shoulder straps and a padded, semi-rigid harness. Its Flat Lock Aid weight system and zipped pockets bring the equipment you need into an accessible layout for recreational diving.

Features and benefits

• Harness support. The semi-rigid padded harness provides support around your torso, with the SPWB waist system helping establish the waist fit. Adjust the straps over your usual exposure suit and check freedom of movement.
• Accessible weight handling. The Flat Lock Aid system secures removable ballast in dedicated pockets. The release handles make the weights accessible when required; check both pockets are fully locked after fitting them.
• Useful storage. Two zipped pockets keep small accessories together and within reach.
• Equipment attachment. D-ring layout: 6 stainless steel. The attachment points give clipped accessories a consistent, reachable position and help prevent loose gear from trailing below you.
• Durable construction. Construction uses 1500D Cordura pocket and shoulder panels. The fabric protects the buoyancy structure from everyday contact with equipment; rinse it after use and inspect high-wear areas regularly.

Fit and configuration

Women’s fit. Choose the appropriate size for your torso and check it while wearing your normal exposure suit. Fit details: XS, S, M, L; contoured shoulder straps. Care, rinsing and storage

After every dive, rinse the BCD, harness, buckles and accessible fittings with fresh water, paying attention to salt and sand around the inflator, dump valves and weight-pocket releases. Follow the Cressi manual’s procedure for the fitted inflation system, including keeping the power inflator pressurised where specified.

Dive Gear Australia recommends Gear Aid Revivex BC Cleaner 10 oz for cleaning the outer surfaces and internal air cell. It helps remove salt, chlorine and residue while conditioning suitable rubber and plastic parts. Use the dilution on the cleaner’s label and follow the equipment manual.

Rinse the air cell internally through the opening specified in the manual, using fresh water and the recommended cleaner dilution when needed. Gently rotate the equipment to reach the inside surfaces, drain through the specified outlet, then rinse until the water runs clear. Drain thoroughly before drying.

Allow the BCD to dry in the shade, then store it slightly inflated in a cool, dry place without tight folds or heavy gear on top. Before diving, check that it holds air and that inflation controls, dump valves, straps and weight releases work correctly. Follow the manufacturer’s service schedule and have leaks, sticking controls or damage checked by an authorised technician.
