How to measure
- Ask someone to help. Stand upright, look forward and keep your feet flat on the floor. Use a soft tape held close to the body without pulling it tight.
- Height, head and neck: use the measuring points in Waterproof’s diagram.
- Chest or bust: measure around the fullest part, keeping the tape level.
- Waist: measure around your natural waist between your ribs and hips.
- Hips: measure around the widest part with your feet together.
- Neck to crotch: follow the body from the prominent bone at the back/base of your neck to the centre of the crotch.
- Neck to wrist: measure from the same neck point, over the shoulder and along the arm to the wrist.
- Inside leg: measure crotch to ankle for a wetsuit; crotch to floor for a drysuit. Use the matching row in the table.
All body measurements are in centimetres. Select the correct standard, tall or plus fit. For a drysuit, allow room for your usual undergarments; ask us if you are between sizes.

The Waterproof W8 5mm Men’s Wetsuit combines stretch Neoflex neoprene with a front zip, thermal lining and WaterDam neck design. Double limb seals, hip pockets and reinforced knees add diving convenience. Special-order stock can take up to six weeks to arrive when unavailable locally.

Waterproof W8 5mm men’s front-zip wetsuit
The Waterproof W8 combines flexible Neoflex neoprene with a front entry zip for divers who prefer access at the chest. Its men’s cut uses shaped arms and legs, with thermal lining for a soft interior and double seals to help limit flushing.
Special-order item: when this suit is not in stock, arrival can take up to six weeks.
Fit, seals and entry
- 5mm Neoflex stretch neoprene.
- YKK front zip with double sealing panels behind it.
- WaterDam neck design to help restrict water running down the spine.
- Double wrist and ankle seals with zips for dressing.
- Extend thermal lining and a contoured spine pad.
- Glued and blind-stitched seams.
Storage and reinforcement
- Two integrated hip pockets with drainage and attachment loops.
- Computer strap anchors with anti-slip surfaces.
- Aramid and Duratex knee reinforcement.
- Duratex seat and elbow panels.
- Grip prints at the shoulders and waist.
- EasyGrip zip pulls for use with or without gloves.
Select the men’s size by body measurements and check movement at the shoulders, hips and knees. A close fit helps the seals work without restricting comfortable movement.
Rinse in fresh water after diving, clearing sand and salt from the zips. Dry in shade and store on a broad wetsuit hanger away from heat and sunlight. Follow Waterproof’s care guidance and avoid folding the suit for long-term storage.
