How to measure
- Ask someone to help. Stand upright, look forward and keep your feet flat on the floor. Use a soft tape held close to the body without pulling it tight.
- Height, head and neck: use the measuring points in Waterproof’s diagram.
- Chest or bust: measure around the fullest part, keeping the tape level.
- Waist: measure around your natural waist between your ribs and hips.
- Hips: measure around the widest part with your feet together.
- Neck to crotch: follow the body from the prominent bone at the back/base of your neck to the centre of the crotch.
- Neck to wrist: measure from the same neck point, over the shoulder and along the arm to the wrist.
- Inside leg: measure crotch to ankle for a wetsuit; crotch to floor for a drysuit. Use the matching row in the table.
All body measurements are in centimetres. Select the correct standard, tall or plus fit. For a drysuit, allow room for your usual undergarments; ask us if you are between sizes.

Follow the numbered diagram: 2 head circumference; 3 neck; 4 chest; 5 waist; 6 widest hip circumference. Measure 7 from the prominent bone at the base of the back of your neck (C7) to the centre of the crotch, following the diagram; measure 8 from the same neck point across the shoulder to the wrist with your arm out. For 9a, measure crotch to floor for a drysuit; for 9b, measure crotch to ankle for a wetsuit. Use the matching row for your suit type and take measurements in centimetres.

The Waterproof W5 3.5mm men’s wetsuit is a full-length scuba suit for divers who want a lighter neoprene layer with useful storage and easy dressing features. Its shaped cut and flexible CR neoprene let you bend, reach and swim naturally, while glued and blind-stitched seams help limit water exchange.
Features and benefits
- 3.5mm microcell limestone CR neoprene: a flexible insulating layer for conditions where a lighter full suit suits your needs. It retains full arm and leg coverage without the bulk of a thicker wetsuit.
- Shaped for movement: pre-bent arms and legs follow the diving position. Wave Flex panels at the joints reduce resistance when bending your limbs.
- Back zip and zipped cuffs: a YKK #10 Vislon main zip provides a wide opening, while wrist and ankle zips make it easier to pass your hands and feet through the suit.
- Gusseted neck comfort zip: open it on the surface to ease collar pressure, then close it before diving. The moulded collar tab allows further adjustment.
- Integrated hip storage: two stretchy pockets provide space for small dive essentials. Drain valves release water and internal loops allow suitable items to be secured.
- Protection where the suit gets used: Duratex reinforcement at the seat, elbows and knees helps resist abrasion without making the whole suit stiff.
- Computer retention: anchors and polyurethane anti-slip print on both arms help keep a wrist computer in position as the neoprene compresses.

Fit and use
Use the Waterproof size chart and your measurements to choose a close fit with comfortable breathing and movement. Check the neck, wrists and ankles for gaps. Water temperature, dive length, depth and your own cold tolerance all affect the insulation you need.
Care
Rinse with fresh water after use, clearing salt and sand from the zips. Dry in the shade and store on a broad wetsuit hanger, away from heat and direct sunlight. Avoid prolonged folding and follow the garment label and Waterproof care instructions.
