Tuna Tamer PVC Floatline
The HuntMaster Tuna Tamer Floatline – 11mm Green is made using only the very best parts and materials, big brother to the REEF Floatline. The TUNA TAMER is made up of a 3mm braided Dyneema core with a breaking strain of close to 1,000kg!!
The PVC Jacket:
The PVC Jacket serves three purposes:
- Firstly, it floats as it is sealed airtight by the insertion of 2 unique custom-made plugs, which are made using CNC as opposed to a mould like some cheaper and inferior floatlines. These plugs are a much larger and more heavy-duty design to the ‘Reef floatline Plugs’ as it needs to withhold a lot more weight!
- Secondly, it acts as a protective barrier, and the 11mm PVC that protects the TUNA TAMER’s core is the thickest and strongest in the world. The Jacket prevents the Dyneema core from getting cut or severed on reef and rocks when under extreme pressure; any line is a lot easier to cut; imagine a tight fishing line, and you’re on point.
- Finally, as mentioned earlier, the PVC stretches means that when a trophy fish such as a Marlin, Yellowfin or Dogtooth Tuna puts your HUNTMASTER TUNA TAMER to the test, it will take all the line and then tow and pull the float under the surface simultaneously. When this happens, the float line will stretch to about half its length again. This action fatigues the target and prevents the spear from ripping out as there is always a constant elastic pressure on the fish, which is also handy to keep the flopper toggled open at all times during a big run for those who prefer double offset instead of a slip-tip.
Unique High Viz Colours:
These Unique High Viz Colours can be mixed and matched with the Huntsman, and Huntress wetsuits, rashguards, Harbinger camo masks, snorkels, and Huntmaster floats. Even the purple floats and floatlines can pair up nicely with the Blue Huntsman or Pink Huntress wetsuit, with slight shades of purple throughout the Harbinger Blue and Pink Camo!!!
These high Viz colours can also be crucial for safety, ensuring divers are seen by other boats and fellow divers.
The Speed Needle and Sharkclip Assembly:
All HUNTMASTER TUNA TAMER floatlines come standard with a heavy-duty marine-grade 3.5 * 140mm stainless steel shark clip with a swivel at one end to attach to your gun or floatline/bungee and a pair of the same shark clips at the other end to attach to your Abyss or TUNA TAMER (Exclusive) Float.
Why a pair of Sharkclips to attach to your float?
These two shark clips are used to lock off any floatline you have managed to gain on your target. By pulling the floatline towards you and clipping the second shark clip off on the line, you will never have to fight the same fish twice again, gain a meter, keep a meter.
In certain situations, getting your fish target to you as soon as possible can mean the difference between landing a trophy or only getting its head on the boat! Instead of investing in a separate retrieval system for your floatline, we have incorporated a tried and tested system and taken the guesswork out of Blue Water Hunting.
The Velcro Strap:
The HUNTMASTER ‘Tuna Tamer’ floatlines have an attached Velcro strap on the floatline to use when coming on to a boat or storing away your line, reducing mess and tangles over time. This will improve the lifespan of the floatline.

How Products are Shipped
Orders are sent via Australia Express Post, Couriers Please, Startrack and Australia Post. PO Box and Parcel Locker addresses are shipped via Australia Post. In rural and remote parts of Australia, shipping will depend on the availability of our shipping companies that are able to transport your goods to you. We always choose the fastest way possible.
Most small items that fit in satchels are sent via Express Post for a speedy delivery.

Dive Gear Australia staff are fully vaccinated for the safety of all and follow safe shipping and packing practices.
Shipping Time Frame
All orders are usually shipped the same day if ordered before 2 pm, or 1-3 days after the initial purchase. At DGA We only use reputable couriers that offer excellent service and fast delivery. Rural locations may take longer to arrive.
Shipping Rural and Remote, Offshore islands and Territories of Australia
Please note our flat rate of $20 is based on delivery to mainland Australia. Some Rural parts of Australia, Offshore islands and Territories of Australia may incur additional postage costs due to the remote location, in which case our DGA Customer Service team will contact you.

Hassle-Free Easy 30-Day Returns Policy
We understand that the product that you have purchased may not suit or fit you. For us to best assist you in preparing for a return or exchange, please read the following information carefully before returning a product.
DGA Dive Gear Australia offers you a 30-day exchange policy on most products within Australia for all goods that are unused and in a saleable condition. This means:
Eligibility Conditions
- The product and packaging are undamaged, unworn, unmarked and where applicable with tags still attached.
- Must include all packing material, manuals, blank warranty cards, and accessories.
- If you believe your product is faulty, please refer to the faulty items section below.
- Dive Gear Australia is not responsible for misuse of products or poor treatment of goods including proper care and servicing or equipment on time.
- Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be received within 7 business days of receipt of merchandise.
If a product comes back and meets the standards above, we will offer you an exchange for a different size or a product of the same value.
If a product is returned to us that has been worn, used in water or is damaged, Your return may not be accepted and the goods shipped back to you at your expense.
We do not offer refunds for a change of mind or if you have ordered the wrong product. Please refer to this guideline by the ACCC. Refunds

For all returns and exchanges, please contact us at sales@divegearaustralia.com.au outlining what product you would like to return, the reason and your order number. We will do our very best to look after you from there as soon as possible.
Return and Exchange Shipping
Unless an item is defective, If you need to exchange or return an incorrect product, please send the item back with a copy of your invoice and any instructions or information we might need. Our customer service team will contact you as soon as we receive the goods for any charges and the cost of the return freight.

Clearance and Non-returnable Items
Special order merchandise or any item indicated on the website as non-returnable is as such.
Clearance items are not refundable and may not be returned unless there is a clear warranty issue or fault with the product. We will exchange as long as stock is available of the same item.
Refund and Credits
Please allow up to 14 days for a credit to appear on your account from the received date. We will issue your refund in the same way you made the original purchase, minus the original cost of shipping.
Click & Collect – LOCAL PICK-UP
Shop online and then collect your order in-store with our Click & Collect service. (Melbourne and Victoria customers only).
This means you can order your favourite product online and pick it up from our store, limiting the need for physical contact with our team.
Once your order’s processed, you’ll receive a confirmation email letting you know that your order is ready for collection.
