OceanPro HK10 2nd Stage Hookah Regulator
The HK10 is a hookah second stage designed for a compatible surface-supplied breathing-air system. Its Dynamic Adjustment control and Venturi assistance let the operator configure the breathing feel within the system’s specified operating conditions.
Features and benefits
- Dynamic Adjustment. The breathing-resistance control lets you tune inhalation effort within the hookah system’s specified operating conditions.
- Venturi control. The lever changes airflow assistance inside the second stage. Use the pre-dive setting for surface handling and the dive setting as directed in the manual.
- Reinforced housing. Glass-reinforced nylon gives the second-stage body strength for regular handling in a surface-supplied setup.
- Separate hose selection. Hoses are sold separately, allowing the correct supply hose and fittings to be chosen for the compatible hookah system.
Setup and compatibility
The HK10 is set for a compatible 100 psi (approximately 6.9 bar) hookah supply. Match the breathing-air source, hose and fittings to the manufacturer’s requirements. It is a hookah second stage, not a complete cylinder regulator. The low-pressure hose is not included.
Care, rinsing and storage
After each use, clean the HK10 while connected to a compatible hookah air supply operating at the pressure specified for this regulator. Keep the second stage and attached supply hose pressurised while submerging them in fresh water. Do not connect the HK10 directly to a scuba cylinder valve.
For routine cleaning, Dive Gear Australia recommends Cressi Neoclean Wetsuit Wash Neoprene Cleaner 500 mL or Revivex Wetsuit Shampoo 10 oz to help remove salt, chlorine and everyday residue. Dilute according to the cleaner’s label, then rinse thoroughly with fresh water.
Keep the supply operating throughout washing and rinsing, then lift the equipment out of the water before shutting down and depressurising the system. Keep water and debris out of disconnected hose fittings. Allow everything to dry in the shade and store hoses loosely curved without tension.
Inspect the mouthpiece, hose, connections and air-supply system before use. Follow the OceanPro manual’s service schedule and have leaks, damage or changed breathing performance checked by an authorised technician. Internal adjustments are service work.
