Mares Rebel Dry snorkel

The Mares Rebel Dry combines a closing upper valve with a silicone mouthpiece, a flexible lower tube and a purge valve. It is a straightforward choice for surface snorkelling when you want a dry top to help reduce the water entering from above.

Features and benefits

• Dry-top closure: The upper valve closes when submerged to help limit water entering the tube.
• Silicone mouthpiece and corrugated tube: The flexible lower section lets you position the mouthpiece naturally and allows it to move aside when released.
• Lower purge housing: Water collects in the rigid lower chamber, with an exhaust valve beneath it for clearing.
• Sliding keeper: Move the mask attachment along the tube to set a comfortable height beside your mask.

Fit and use

Set the keeper height so the mouthpiece reaches your mouth without pulling on the flex tube. Check the bite and your lip seal before entering the water. Select the colour from the available options.

Use the snorkel for breathing at the surface with its opening above the water. Clear any water before taking your next breath; a snorkel does not supply air while submerged.

Care and storage

Rinse the tube, mouthpiece, top mechanism and purge valve thoroughly with fresh water after use. Flush away sand without forcing the valves apart. Let the snorkel air-dry in the shade, then store it away from heat and direct sunlight. Before your next swim, check the mouthpiece, keeper and valves for damage or trapped grit.
