Mac Coltellerie Aquatys Spearfishing Knife
The Mac Coltellerie Aquatys Spearfishing Knife is a full tang diver’s knife with a blade covered with a black matte coating and produced by the Italian company MAC Coltellerie. An ideal tool for diving trips, underwater hunting and onshore activities.
The blade – Dagger profile (dagger), 3.8 mm thick. Made of stainless steel molybdenum vanadium W 1.4116 (X50CrMoV15) with high resistance to corrosion, adapted for long-term contact with water. Hardened steel in the range of 55-56 HRC. The blade is covered with a scratch-resistant, matt, non-reflective IDROGLIDER GOLD® Black coating.
Blade – both sides with excellent cutting properties are derived by flat grinding. One of Plain’s entirely smooth blades, serrated second serrated for cutting hard materials, plastics and fibrous like ropes, cords, fishing lines, and nets. Serrated blade (serrated) used in diving, rescue and survival knives consists alternately of one large and three small teeth, so-called. Three-step. This pattern increases the cutting edge length by up to 24% in relation to the straight edge. Ideal for aggressive cutting of hard materials, plastics and fibrous like ropes or nets.
Handle – black. Covered with non-slip textured rubber-like cladding made of thermoplastic elastomer, also called TPE thermoplastic rubber (guarantees a secure grip in the water environment), combined with the PP polymer. The ergonomic shape of the cladding prevents the hands from slipping during work. The head is finished with a steel hammer.
Case – made of ABS plastic with holes for draining water and moisture. The holster is equipped with a latch with a blockade preventing the knife from slipping out into the water. Two rubber straps and two plastic buckles to attach the case to the hand, leg or vest.
