TUSA Zensee Pro Frameless Dive Mask

TUSA Zensee Pro M1010S Dive Mask

The TUSA Zensee Pro adds coated CrystalView optics to the Zensee’s frameless, single-window design. It is a useful option if you like an open view and want anti-reflective lenses, together with a compact buckle system and silicone fitting ring.

Features and benefits

• Anti-reflective CrystalView glass: Helps reduce reflections on the lens surfaces.
• Frameless single-window design: Keeps the lens close to the face for an open underwater view.
• 3D SYNQ fitting ring: Allows the skirt to adapt as you adjust the fit.
• Swift Buckle 3D: Makes small strap adjustments straightforward.
• Included Freedom Film: Helps manage fogging when fitted and cared for as directed.

Choose the lens version

UV protection differs by version. Standard coated Zensee Pro versions use UV420 treatment. The M-1010S-Q version, shown as the T option in the selector, uses UV400 treatment. Check the selected option before ordering.

How UV420 lens protection works

On the UV420 versions of the Zensee Pro, the lens treatment acts as a light filter. It reduces the ultraviolet light passing through the glass and targets the short-wavelength violet end of visible light, around 400–420 nanometres. The number 420 refers to a wavelength, rather than a percentage of protection. The transparent M-1010S-Q (T option) has UV400 treatment, so the additional 400–420 nm filtering described here applies to the UV420 versions.

For divers and snorkellers, the benefit is reduced exposure to UV through the mask lenses while enjoying the view. This is particularly useful during surface swimming, where sunlight reflected from water adds to exposure. Protecting your eyes from UV is a sensible part of looking after them; use UV-blocking sunglasses on the boat or shore when your mask is off.

Why anti-reflective CrystalView glass helps underwater

The anti-reflective coating reduces light bouncing off the inner and outer lens surfaces. Together with CrystalView optical glass, this helps provide a clearer view with fewer distracting lens reflections when watching marine life, checking hand signals or reading instruments. UV filtering, reflection control and anti-fogging each have a different job.

How the anti-fog film works

The Zensee Pro includes Freedom Film for the inside of its single lens. The matching replacement insert is the TA0804. Mask fog forms when warm, moist air inside the mask meets the cooler lens and condenses into tiny droplets that scatter light. Freedom Film has a hydrophilic, or water-attracting, surface that encourages moisture to spread into a thin layer instead of forming those misty droplets. This helps keep your view clearer during the dive.

Fit the film to a clean inner lens surface following the supplied instructions, and rinse the mask with fresh water after use. Oils, dirt and damage can reduce its effectiveness, so handle it carefully and avoid toothpaste, abrasive scrubbing or flame treatment on the film or coated lenses.

Strap comfort and adjustment

The contoured 3D silicone strap follows the curve of the back of your head. Its split shape spreads contact over a wider area, helping the mask stay comfortably in position with light strap tension.

Fit guidance

Check the seal around your forehead and cheeks, lens clearance and nose-pocket comfort. Keep hair clear of the skirt and adjust the strap gently; extra tension will not fix an unsuitable fit.

Care and storage

Compatible cleaning products

For a coated, prescription or anti-fog-film lens, use only the cleaner or defogger approved by that lens manufacturer. Gear Aid Sea Drops is not recommended for prescription lenses or anti-reflective coatings. For a separate neoprene strap cover, if you use one, we recommend Cressi Neoclean Wetsuit Wash or Revivex Wetsuit Shampoo to clean compatible neoprene. Wash that component separately according to its care label and the cleaner’s dilution instructions, then rinse thoroughly and dry in the shade. These neoprene cleaners are not a recommendation for the mask lens or a regulator assembly.

Rinse your mask with fresh water after each dive or snorkel, flushing salt and sand from the buckles before adjusting them. Let it dry in the shade, then store it in a protective case away from heat, direct sunlight and coloured rubber gear that can stain the silicone.

Treat the coated glass gently: avoid toothpaste, abrasive cleaners, scrubbing and flame treatment. Follow the supplied instructions for any fitted Freedom Film. Check the skirt, strap and buckles for damage before use.
