Care & Maintenance

Like all underwater camera hardware, proper care will help keep the clamp operating smoothly and extend its service life.

• Rinse thoroughly in fresh water after every dive, particularly after use in salt water.
• While rinsing, loosen and operate the adjustment screw to help flush salt, sand and other debris from the threads and moving components.
• Allow the clamp to dry completely before storage.
• Periodically apply a very small amount of suitable silicone grease to the adjustment screw threads. This helps protect the threads from saltwater corrosion and reduces the risk of the mechanism seizing up over time.
• Wipe away any excess grease so it does not attract sand or grit.
• Do not apply silicone grease to the ball-gripping surfaces, as this can reduce the clamp’s ability to securely hold the ball mounts in position.
• Store the clamp clean, dry and preferably with the adjustment screw slightly loosened rather than fully tightened.
