Cressi SL Star 55 Pneumatic Speargun
The Cressi SL Star 55 is a compact pneumatic speargun with a shaped red grip and an 8 mm stainless-steel shaft. The shaft has a 7 mm thread for compatible spear tips. At 55 cm, this model offers a shorter option in the SL Star range and has no power reducer.
A compact gun with a comfortable grip
The anatomical handle places your hand high on the gun to help align it with your forearm. Its red-and-black finish makes it easy to identify among your equipment, while the eyelet beneath the handle provides a connection point for a suitable lanyard.
8 mm shaft with a 7 mm thread
The supplied shaft is 8 mm in diameter; the threaded tip connection is 7 mm. This distinction matters when choosing replacement spear tips. Stainless-steel construction helps resist corrosion, and regular rinsing keeps salt from building up around the shaft and tip connection.
SL Star 55 features
- 55 cm model: a short overall format for divers who prefer a compact pneumatic gun.
- 13 mm internal barrel: part of the SL Star’s compressed-air system.
- Trigger-operated line release: frees the shooting line when the trigger is pulled.
- Manual safety catch: a dedicated safety control on the gun.
- Included equipment: stainless-steel shaft, shaft loader and shooting line.
Care after diving
Rinse the gun, shaft, loader and line with fresh water after each dive. Dry in the shade and store the gun unloaded, away from direct sunlight and heat. Inspect the line and threaded connection for wear, and follow Cressi’s instructions for pressure checks and servicing.
