Open-heel scuba fin sizing: Dive boots must be worn with these fins for a secure, comfortable fit. Boots help protect your feet from sharp rocks and rough surfaces during shore entries and exits, and make it convenient to walk to the water before putting your fins on. Choose your fin size to accommodate the boots you’ll be wearing.
Extra comfort with Lycra socks: We recommend wearing thin Lycra fin socks inside your dive boots to help reduce rubbing and blisters. They also make boots easier to put on and take off, reducing strain from pulling on the neoprene and seams. Lycra socks can help your feet slide into your wetsuit more easily, making gearing up more comfortable.

In 1950, long before technical diving became a recognised discipline, Cressi introduced the Rondine Commando ventilated fins. Originally developed for the US Army Underwater Demolition Teams (UDT), this revolutionary design became widely used during the 1960s. The Cressi Origin continues that legacy with modern materials, improved ergonomics and dependable performance for today’s demanding divers.
Manufactured in Italy from durable, abrasion-resistant material, the Origin features a short, wide and ventilated blade that produces powerful forward thrust while maintaining excellent control. Its compact design is particularly well suited to frog kicks, back kicks, helicopter turns and precise manoeuvring around wrecks, caves and confined environments.
The ergonomic foot pocket is equipped with self-adjusting spring straps for a secure and comfortable fit. Angled buckles keep the straps correctly positioned across the heel, while the simple pin attachment allows easy strap replacement when required—even when wearing thick gloves.
Origin LD: Low-Density Version
The Cressi Origin LD is manufactured from a neutrally buoyant, low-density material. This makes it an excellent choice for divers wearing wetsuits or using medium-to-lightweight scuba equipment. Its buoyancy characteristics can also help balance divers who tend to have negatively buoyant feet.
