Cressi MC9 First Stage Only
The Cressi MC9 is a compact, Italian-made first stage for building or replacing a compatible warm-water regulator setup. Its hyper-balanced diaphragm mechanism manages the air supply as cylinder pressure changes, while two high-pressure and four low-pressure ports give you room to connect your gauges, second stages and inflator hoses.
Supplied as one first stage only in your selected connection: Yoke or DIN. Second stage, octopus, gauges and hoses are not included. The main photo shows the available connection options.
Features and benefits
- Hyper-balanced diaphragm. Helps maintain a consistent intermediate-pressure supply as cylinder pressure falls, supporting the performance of a compatible second stage.
- Six hose ports. Two 7/16-inch UNF high-pressure ports and four 3/8-inch UNF low-pressure ports allow you to arrange the instruments and hoses required for your setup.
- Nickel-plated brass body. The compact metal body combines corrosion resistance with an elastomer cover to help protect it during handling.
- Serviceable internal components. A removable AISI 316 stainless-steel high-pressure seat and conical filter support maintenance by an authorised technician.
- Choice of cylinder fitting. Select the 232 bar Yoke version or the 300 bar DIN version to match your cylinder valve and equipment.
Setup and compatibility
Yoke uses a clamp fitting; DIN screws into a compatible cylinder valve. Choose the connection and pressure rating that match your cylinder. Have the first stage, compatible second stage and hoses assembled and checked by a qualified regulator technician. The usable pressure of the complete system is limited by its lowest-rated component.
The standard MC9 is a warm-water first stage for water above 10°C. Choose equipment rated for your intended diving conditions.
Care, rinsing and storage
Clean the MC9 as part of a correctly assembled regulator system. Following the regulator manual, connect the system to a securely supported cylinder and keep it pressurised while rinsing the first stage, second stages and hoses in fresh water. This helps prevent water entering the internal air passages.
Dry the first stage and cylinder connection before closing the valve, releasing pressure and disconnecting. Fit a clean, dry dust cap and let the regulator dry in the shade. Store it in a dry place, with hoses loosely curved and protected from sharp bends.
Inspect hoses and connections before diving. Arrange servicing with an authorised Cressi technician according to the manual, or sooner if the regulator leaks, is damaged or its performance changes. Internal adjustments and repairs require a qualified technician.
