Cressi AC25M Master Cromo Regulator Sets
The Cressi AC25M Master Cromo gives you adjustable breathing controls and flexible hose routing for warm-water diving. Its balanced piston first stage feeds the pneumatically balanced Master Cromo second stage, while a rotating turret helps arrange your hoses around the equipment you use.
Features and benefits
- Balanced piston first stage. The AC25M controls intermediate pressure as cylinder pressure changes, helping provide a consistent supply to the second stage.
- 360° rotating turret. Four low-pressure outlets sit around the turret and a fifth sits on its axis. This gives your technician more routing choices for the primary regulator, octopus and inflator hoses.
- Separate inhalation adjustment. The breathing-effort knob changes the initial effort needed to open the second-stage valve. It gives you a separate adjustment from the Venturi control, so you can fine-tune the breathing feel within the regulator’s operating range.
- Dive/pre-dive control. The Venturi lever changes how the air stream assists inhalation. Use the pre-dive position during surface handling and while an alternate second stage is stowed, then the dive position when breathing from it, following the manual.
- Elliptical diaphragm. The broad diaphragm provides a larger working surface without making the second stage unnecessarily tall. Together with the low-friction lever, it helps the valve respond to inhalation.
- Flexible connection. The Safe-Flex hose bends readily between the stages, helping reduce hose pull at the mouth.
Setup and compatibility
Choose the DIN or yoke option to match your cylinder valve and pressure rating. Have the complete regulator assembly configured and checked by a qualified technician. The maximum usable pressure is limited by the lowest-rated component in the system.
This combination is for water above 10°C. A cold-water second stage alone does not turn a warm-water first stage into a cold-water regulator system.
What is included in the base set?
- 1 × Cressi AC25M Master Cromo Regulator Din or Yoke
- 1 × Cressi XS Octopus Compact
- 1 × Cressi 360 Regulator Dive Bag
The list shows the required components at the default quantities. Your selected connection, quantities and optional extras determine the final package.
What else will I need?
A pressure gauge is not included in the base package. Check that you have a compatible pressure gauge and the required high-pressure hose, or select an appropriate optional gauge where offered.
A regulator bag is included in the base package. Check whether your BCD or drysuit supplies its inflation hose, and compare any additional hoses needed for your equipment. Confirm the cylinder connection and have the complete fittings and hose routing checked by a qualified technician.
Care, rinsing and storage
After each dive, connect the assembled regulator to a scuba cylinder and open the valve to pressurise the system. Keep it pressurised while fully submerging the first stage, second stages and connected hoses in fresh water. This allows thorough cleaning of the exposed components and hoses while helping prevent water entering the internal air passages, where it can cause corrosion and damage. Keep the cylinder secure throughout cleaning.
For routine cleaning, Dive Gear Australia recommends Cressi Neoclean Wetsuit Wash Neoprene Cleaner 500 mL or Revivex Wetsuit Shampoo 10 oz to help remove salt, chlorine and everyday residue. Dilute according to the cleaner’s label, then rinse thoroughly with fresh water.
Keep the regulator pressurised throughout washing and rinsing. Lift it out of the water and dry the first stage and cylinder connection before closing the cylinder valve, releasing the pressure and disconnecting. Fit the clean, dry dust cap, then allow the regulator to dry in the shade. Store it with the hoses loosely curved, without sharp bends or tension.
Before each dive, inspect the mouthpiece, hoses and connections for wear or damage. Have your regulator serviced by an authorised Cressi technician at the interval specified in its manual, or sooner if it leaks, is damaged or its breathing performance changes. Leave internal adjustments and repairs to a qualified technician.
