Aqualung Seawave Flex Dive Hood 5/3mm
The Aqualung Seawave Flex Dive Hood 5/3mm continues your exposure protection around the head and neck. Choose the model for its listed thickness, face opening and neck style, then check how it meets your mask and suit collar.
Features and Details
- 5/3mm neoprene.
- Glide-skin face seal.
- Bib design.
- Venting for trapped air.
- Hanging loop for drying and storage.
- Black finish.
How the Features Help
- Venting: The listed vent arrangement allows trapped air to leave the hood rather than collect around the crown. Keep those openings clear during use and cleaning.
- Neck overlap: The bib extends beneath a compatible suit collar, continuing the coverage around the neck and reducing a gap between separate garments.

Fit and Use
Choose a close fit that allows comfortable head movement. Check the face opening with your mask skirt and, where applicable, the neck or bib with your suit collar. For a hooded vest, check the extra layer inside the wetsuit so the combined fit does not restrict breathing or shoulder movement.
Additional Product Information
The Seawave Flex Hood adds head and neck coverage to a compatible wetsuit. Its 5/3mm neoprene construction includes a bib that sits with the suit collar and a glide-skin face seal.
Choose the size for a close, comfortable fit around the face and neck. Check the hood with your mask and wetsuit before use and follow Aqualung’s care instructions.
Gear Care and Washing
Dive Gear Australia recommends Cressi Neoclean Wetsuit Wash or Revivex Wetsuit Shampoo for compatible neoprene. Regular cleaning helps remove salt, chlorine and everyday residue and, together with thorough drying and proper storage, helps extend your gear’s life. Use the label dilution and follow this product’s care instructions.
Rinse inside and out in cool fresh water after every use to remove salt, chlorine, sand and residue. Gently hand wash when needed with a material-compatible wetsuit cleaner at its specified dilution, following the garment label, then rinse thoroughly.
Keep any vent openings clear and settle face and neck seals gently when dressing. Dry the lining and inside of the hood fully before storage.
Allow both sides to dry completely in the shade with good airflow. Store clean and dry away from direct sunlight, heaters and hot cars. Avoid crushing the neoprene or leaving it folded sharply for long periods.
Protect smooth seals and coatings from fingernails, jewellery and scrubbing. Rinse any zip or fastener free of grit, and use only the maker’s approved lubricant where required. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, iron, bleach or use solvents.
