Aqualung Rogue Travel BCD – Modular
Build your fit around the Rogue’s modular shoulder, waist and back components. Its ModLock system allows these sections to be selected independently, making it particularly useful when your ideal shoulder and waist sizes do not match a conventional one-piece BCD.
Fit each section separately
The Rogue is useful when a single standard BCD size does not match your shoulder, waist and back measurements equally well. Selecting the component sizes independently lets you improve the fit of the whole system rather than tightening one section to compensate for another.
Features and benefits
- Modular sizing. The ModLock connections join separately sized shoulder, waist and back sections. Matching these components to your body can give you a more precise fit and lets compatible sections be changed independently.
- Accessible weight handling. The SureLock II pockets use a mechanical locking connection to secure removable ballast. Check that each pocket is fully engaged after loading and keep the release handles unobstructed.
- GripLock cylinder attachment. The GripLock buckle separates cylinder-size adjustment from closing the band, making repeat cylinder changes more straightforward once the band is set correctly.
- Useful storage. Storage includes 2 drop-down pockets. Keep accessories together in the available pockets.
- Equipment attachment. D-ring layout: 4 stainless steel. The attachment points give clipped accessories a consistent, reachable position and help prevent loose gear from trailing below you.
- Compact travel arrangement. The modular layout can be separated for packing and reassembled to its fitted configuration.
- Drop-down pockets. The pockets fold away when empty and drop down when storage is needed, keeping the front of the BCD less bulky between uses.
Fit and configuration
Select the appropriate size or harness adjustment for your body and exposure suit. Fit details: 27 shoulder/waist/back size combinations. A dive knife and optional accessories shown in photographs are not included. Choose enough lift for your complete cylinder and equipment configuration. Lift capacity, ballast-pocket capacity and the BCD’s dry weight describe different things; use the size-specific values in Technical Specs when comparing options.
Care, rinsing and storage
After every dive, rinse the BCD, harness, buckles and accessible fittings with fresh water, paying attention to salt and sand around the inflator, dump valves and weight-pocket releases. Follow the Aqualung manual’s procedure for the fitted inflation system, including keeping the power inflator pressurised where specified.
Dive Gear Australia recommends Gear Aid Revivex BC Cleaner 10 oz for cleaning the outer surfaces and internal air cell. It helps remove salt, chlorine and residue while conditioning suitable rubber and plastic parts. Use the dilution on the cleaner’s label and follow the equipment manual.
Rinse the air cell internally through the opening specified in the manual, using fresh water and the recommended cleaner dilution when needed. Gently rotate the equipment to reach the inside surfaces, drain through the specified outlet, then rinse until the water runs clear. Drain thoroughly before drying.
Allow the BCD to dry in the shade, then store it slightly inflated in a cool, dry place without tight folds or heavy gear on top. Before diving, check that it holds air and that inflation controls, dump valves, straps and weight releases work correctly. Follow the manufacturer’s service schedule and have leaks, sticking controls or damage checked by an authorised technician.
