How to measure for your hood
- Use a soft tape held snugly without squeezing.
- Head / forehead: measure around the widest part of the head at forehead level, keeping the tape level.
- Check each measurement shown in the table and choose the corresponding hood size.

Waterproof H2 5/10mm High Visibility Hood – Polar Evoluted
The Waterproof H2 5/10mm high visibility hood combines an anatomical neoprene shape with extra insulation in key areas and a vent system for trapped air. The bright orange outer surface and reflective patches help make the hood easier to see at the surface.
Features and benefits
- 5/10mm insulation layout: 10mm double-layer areas cover key heat-loss zones, with 5mm material in the remaining construction. This concentrates warmth while preserving a shaped fit.
- HAVS air venting: the Hood Air Venting System uses one-way valves to release air that collects inside the hood, helping prevent an uncomfortable air pocket at the top.
- Glideskin sealing surfaces: smooth areas around the face and neck help limit flushing when the hood fits correctly and meets the suit collar neatly.
- Anatomical panels and stretch nylon: the three-dimensional shape follows the head, and the stretch outer textile helps the hood move as you turn and look around.
- Bonded nylon stitching: quality thread supports the panel joins through repeated dressing and use.
- EXTEND lining and reflective detail: the inner lining adds a soft feel, while the reflective logo provides a reflective point when illuminated.

Fit and use
Choose a close, comfortable fit without restricting head movement or pressing uncomfortably on the jaw. Check the mask skirt, face opening and overlap with the suit collar together. Hood thickness alone does not establish a suitable temperature or dive duration.

This anatomical 3D-shaped vented hood features a 10mm double-layered protection in critical heat loss areas and glide skin seals for the neck and face.
Gear Care and Washing
Rinse inside and out in cool fresh water after every use to remove salt, chlorine, sand and residue. Gently hand wash when needed with mild soap or a cleaner specifically authorised by Waterproof, following the garment label, then rinse thoroughly.
Keep any vent openings clear and settle face and neck seals gently when dressing. Dry the lining and inside of the hood fully before storage.
Allow both sides to dry completely in the shade with good airflow. Store clean and dry away from direct sunlight, heaters and hot cars. Avoid crushing the neoprene or leaving it folded sharply for long periods.
Protect smooth seals and coatings from fingernails, jewellery and scrubbing. Rinse any zip or fastener free of grit, and use only the maker’s approved lubricant where required. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, iron, bleach or use solvents.

Contact us within 30 days of delivery to request a refund, exchange or optional store credit on eligible unused goods within Australia. Refunds go to the original payment method. Keep goods clean and undamaged with tags, original packaging and all accessories. No restocking fee applies to eligible returns meeting these conditions.
For change-of-mind returns and size exchanges, you pay return postage and replacement shipping. Original delivery charges are not refunded. Water-tested goods, clearly marked clearance items and genuinely custom-made or personalised items are excluded from change-of-mind returns. Ordinary discounted goods remain eligible.
