OceanPro Intermediate Pressure Gauge
The OceanPro Intermediate Pressure Gauge is an inspection tool for checking the pressure delivered by a regulator’s first stage to its low-pressure system. Its quick-disconnect connection makes it useful for checking a compatible LP test point during regulator assessment.
Features and benefits
- Measures first-stage output. The gauge indicates intermediate pressure, the reduced pressure supplied to second stages and inflators. This is a different measurement from full cylinder pressure.
- Quick-disconnect fitting. The connector suits a compatible low-pressure quick-disconnect connection, allowing a trained user or technician to attach the instrument at the appropriate test point.
- Supports condition checks. Comparing a reading with the exact regulator’s service specification can help a technician identify a need for further inspection.
Setup and compatibility
Confirm the QD fitting and pressure rating against the regulator and hose before use. Connect only to the prescribed low-pressure point, following the equipment’s testing procedure, with the system depressurised for connection and disconnection. Never connect this gauge to cylinder pressure or a first-stage HP port.
This instrument is for intermediate-pressure checks. Internal adjustment, tuning and diagnosis belong with an authorised regulator technician; a single reading does not establish that a regulator is safe to dive.
Care, rinsing and storage
Wipe the outside with a soft cloth dampened with fresh water, keeping the quick-disconnect fitting and pressure inlet dry. Do not immerse this inspection instrument. Allow it to dry naturally, then store it protected from dirt, moisture and impacts.
Inspect the connector and lens before testing, and confirm a zero reading when fully depressurised. Have leaks, damage, a sticking pointer or an unreliable reading investigated by a qualified technician.
