A curved-edge aluminium finger spool for surface marker buoy deployment, with neatly packed flat line and an orange 5m safety-stop marker. Includes an inline stainless-steel swivel and 90mm double-ended snap clip. Choose 15m or 30m in Red or Blue.

The OceanPro Aluminium Finger Spool keeps your surface marker buoy line organised in a simple, compact format. Its curved edges make the spool comfortable to handle with dive gloves, while the flat line and stainless-steel hardware help you manage deployment and retrieval.

Features and benefits

Curved aluminium body: Smooth edges reduce snagging and give your fingers a comfortable surface when controlling the spool.
Flat line: The line packs closely and neatly around the spool, making good use of the available space.
Orange safety-stop marker: A visible 5m marker gives you and your buddy a useful reference on the line.
Inline stainless-steel swivel: The rotating connection helps reduce line twist as the line moves.
Double-ended snap clip: The included clip lets you secure the spool and clip it to a suitable attachment point between uses.

Choosing and using your spool

Choose the line length for your planned deployment depth, allowing extra line for movement and current. Your dive computer or depth gauge remains your depth reference; an angled buoy line can change the marker’s position relative to you. Practise buoy deployment using the technique taught in your training, keep loose line clear of equipment, and rewind it evenly without overtightening. A surface marker buoy is sold separately.

Care, washing and storage

After use, rinse the spool, line, swivel and clip thoroughly in fresh water. Work both clip gates and rotate the swivel during rinsing to clear salt and grit. Let everything dry in the shade before storage. Check for frayed line, damaged edges, secure connections and freely moving clip gates before each dive.

Dive Gear Australia recommends Cressi Neoclean Wetsuit Wash or Revivex Wetsuit Shampoo for routine cleaning, diluted according to the label and thoroughly rinsed away. Regular cleaning, drying and proper storage help extend gear life.

In-stock orders placed before 12 noon Melbourne time on weekdays are usually dispatched the same day once payment is confirmed. This excludes public holidays, pre-orders, backorders, special orders and custom orders. Dispatch times can vary. Delivery time depends on the carrier and your location.

Standard mainland Australian shipping is $20. Click & Collect from our Hallam store is free once your order is ready.

Large or bulky gear: additional freight charges apply on top of standard shipping: large dive bags $30; long freediving fins $15; long spearguns $20. Scuba tank freight is shown at checkout.
Rural, remote & offshore: rural means anywhere outside metropolitan areas. Carrier availability and additional charges may apply, including for island and territory destinations. Our team will contact you if an extra freight quote is needed.

Contact us within 30 days of delivery to request a refund, exchange or optional store credit on eligible unused goods within Australia. Refunds go to the original payment method. Keep goods clean and undamaged with tags, original packaging and all accessories. No restocking fee applies to eligible returns meeting these conditions.

For change-of-mind returns and size exchanges, you pay return postage and replacement shipping. Original delivery charges are not refunded. Water-tested goods, clearly marked clearance items and genuinely custom-made or personalised items are excluded from change-of-mind returns. Ordinary discounted goods remain eligible.

How do I choose the right size?

Use the product's size chart where available and compare your measurements with the guide for that brand. Sizing varies between brands and products. Still unsure? For fins and boots, tell us which socks or dive boots you will wear.

How do I check availability?
