The Cressi Lycra Hood is a lightweight, comfortable hood designed to provide practical UV, sun and stinger protection for scuba diving, snorkelling, swimming and other watersports.
Made from strong, highly elastic synthetic Lycra , the hood stretches comfortably around the head while maintaining a close, streamlined fit. It can be worn on its own in warm water or comfortably under a wetsuit, rash guard or dive suit for additional protection.
The Lycra construction helps protect covered areas of the head and neck from exposure to harmful UV rays and sunburn , making it an excellent choice for long snorkelling sessions, boat dives and tropical-water activities.
When diving or snorkelling in warmer waters, the Cressi Lycra Hood provides an additional physical barrier between your skin and marine stingers. Its extended neck coverage also helps reduce exposed skin when worn with a wetsuit or rash vest.
For divers and snorkellers with longer hair, the hood helps keep hair contained and away from mask straps, snorkels and other equipment . This can make fitting and removing your mask easier while helping reduce tangling throughout the day.
The smooth, low-bulk fabric makes the Cressi Lycra Hood ideal for layering underneath a wetsuit hood or suit. It can also make donning and removing exposure protection easier while adding an extra layer of comfort around the head and neck.
The Cressi Lycra Hood is a simple but highly useful addition to any warm-water dive or snorkelling kit, combining lightweight comfort with valuable protection from the sun, stingers and troublesome hair.
Gear Care and Washing
Rinse inside and out in cool fresh water after every use to remove salt, chlorine, sand and residue. Gently hand wash when needed with a material-compatible wetsuit cleaner at its specified dilution, following the garment label, then rinse thoroughly.
Allow both sides to dry completely in the shade with good airflow. Store clean and dry away from direct sunlight, heaters and hot cars.
Do not machine wash, tumble dry, iron, bleach or use solvents.

Contact us within 30 days of delivery to request a refund, exchange or optional store credit on eligible unused goods within Australia. Refunds go to the original payment method. Keep goods clean and undamaged with tags, original packaging and all accessories. No restocking fee applies to eligible returns meeting these conditions.
For change-of-mind returns and size exchanges, you pay return postage and replacement shipping. Original delivery charges are not refunded. Water-tested goods, clearly marked clearance items and genuinely custom-made or personalised items are excluded from change-of-mind returns. Ordinary discounted goods remain eligible.
