Atomic Aquatics BC2 Back-Inflation BCD
The Atomic Aquatics BC2 BCD combines streamlined back-inflation performance with advanced materials, exceptional comfort and an innovative integrated weight system.
Its rear-positioned air cell keeps the diver’s chest and sides clear, providing greater freedom of movement while helping promote balanced horizontal trim underwater. The quilted back pad and adjustable lumbar support distribute the cylinder’s weight comfortably across the diver’s back.
Exclusive Waterproof Fabric
The BC2 is manufactured from a unique double-laminated, polyurethane-coated fabric. This exceptionally tough material resists abrasion, tearing and punctures while shedding water rapidly after the dive.
Features and benefits:
- Highly resistant to abrasion and punctures
- Sheds water quickly after surfacing
- Absorbs less water than conventional BCD fabric
- Dries faster between dives
- Easier to transport after leaving the water
- Resistant to UV exposure, stains and chemicals
- Resists mould, mildew and rot
- Designed for years of regular diving
Patented EZ-LOK Integrated Weight System
The EZ-LOK weight pouches slide smoothly into the BCD and lock securely with an audible and tactile snap. A one-handed pull releases each pouch when required.
Features and benefits:
- Quick and simple weight installation
- Accepts hard or soft dive weights
- Secure retention throughout the dive
- Clear confirmation when correctly locked
- One-handed emergency release
- Rear anchoring helps prevent forward weight movement
Standard BC2 sizes accommodate up to approximately 4.5 kg in each integrated weight pouch, while the Extra Large size accommodates up to approximately 6.4 kg per pouch.
Ratcheting CAM-LOK Tank Band
Atomic Aquatics replaces conventional threaded webbing with an innovative ratcheting CAM-LOK system. Similar to a ski-boot binding, it quickly adjusts to different cylinder diameters and locks firmly into position.
Features and benefits:
- Fast and convenient cylinder installation
- No complicated webbing to thread
- Adjusts to a range of scuba-cylinder sizes
- Does not require pre-soaking
- Resists stretching and slipping
- Polyurethane-coated band does not absorb water
- Secure cylinder positioning throughout the dive
Quilted Back Pad and Lumbar Support
A comfortable diamond-pattern back pad cushions the diver’s back, while the adjustable lumbar pad can be positioned to provide personalised support.
Benefits:
- Distributes the cylinder load comfortably
- Reduces pressure points
- Provides adjustable lower-back support
- Improves comfort during extended dives
- Includes a concealed carrying handle
BC2 Additional Features
- Streamlined back-inflation air cell
- Low-profile rear trim-weight pockets
- Titanium PVD-coated 316 stainless-steel D-rings
- Sand-resistant, self-sealing pocket zippers
- Rigid backpack with non-skid tank pad
- Low-friction stainless-steel exhaust pull dumps
- Anti-floating pull knobs
- Integrated carrying handle
- Premium black finish with Atomic red accents
Atomic Aquatics Ai Stainless Steel Power Inflator
The included Atomic Aquatics Ai Stainless Steel Power Inflator provides smooth and accurate control over BCD inflation and deflation. Large over-moulded controls make the inflator easy to operate, including while wearing thick dive gloves.
Unlike many standard BCD inflators, the Ai is designed to be serviced and maintained rather than treated as a disposable component. Its corrosion-resistant stainless-steel construction complements the premium design and durability of the BC2.
Ai Inflator Features and Benefits
- Smooth, precise inflation control
- Large, easily identified buttons
- Convenient operation while wearing gloves
- Stainless-steel internal metal components
- Excellent resistance to saltwater corrosion
- Repairable and serviceable design

- Perfectly matched to the Atomic Aquatics BC2
- Two-year or 300-dive recommended service interval
Atomic Aquatics B2X Regulator
The Atomic Aquatics B2X Regulator blends premium breathing performance with a sleek black finish and outstanding protection against corrosion and wear.
Its first stage is manufactured from chrome-plated brass and protected by Atomic Aquatics’ Diamond-Like Carbon coating. According to Atomic Aquatics, this DLC treatment provides up to 16 times greater protection than untreated raw metal.
The pneumatically balanced second stage incorporates all-titanium construction and technology based on the premium Atomic Aquatics T3. This creates a lightweight second stage that rests comfortably in the mouth while delivering smooth, natural breathing.
Diamond-Like Carbon First Stage
The B2X first stage features Atomic Aquatics’ proprietary DLC coating over chrome-plated brass. The deep black finish provides an elegant appearance while protecting the metal beneath.
Features and benefits:
- Tough Diamond-Like Carbon finish
- Enhanced protection against wear
- Excellent resistance to corrosion
- Durable black finish
- Smooth long-term first-stage operation
- Distinctive appearance that matches the BC2
Balanced Jet Seat High-Flow Piston
The B2X first stage uses Atomic Aquatics’ balanced Jet Seat high-flow piston design to provide consistent airflow throughout the dive.
Benefits:
- Maintains dependable performance as cylinder pressure drops
- Provides the airflow required for demanding dives
- Delivers stable intermediate pressure
- Supports smooth breathing at depth
Flexible Hose Routing
Five low-pressure ports are located on a rotating swivel cap, while two fixed high-pressure ports accommodate an SPG or wireless transmitter.
Benefits:
- Five low-pressure ports
- Two high-pressure ports
- Swivelling low-pressure port turret
- Flexible regulator hose positioning
- Cleaner and more streamlined equipment setup
- Suitable for different instrument configurations
Titanium Second Stage
The B2X second stage is constructed with titanium components and materials based on the Atomic Aquatics T3 second stage.
Features and benefits:
- Lightweight in the diver’s mouth
- Exceptional corrosion resistance
- Reduces jaw fatigue during long dives
- Pneumatically balanced for consistent breathing
- High-flow case and lever design
- Performs smoothly at different depths and cylinder pressures
Automatic Flow Control
Atomic Aquatics’ patented AFC automatically adjusts the venturi effect as depth changes. This eliminates the need to continually operate a manual dive and pre-dive lever.
Benefits:
- Automatically adapts to changes in depth
- Promotes smooth, natural breathing
- Reduces manual adjustments
- Helps manage unwanted free flow
- Allows the diver to concentrate on the dive
Rapid Adjustment Knob
A soft over-moulded adjustment knob allows the regulator to be manually detuned for special circumstances, including surf entries or when the second stage is not in the diver’s mouth.
Benefits:
- Simple one-turn adjustment
- Helps control free flow at the surface
- Easy to operate while wearing gloves
- Does not complicate normal underwater use
Titanium Seat Saving Dynamic Orifice
The patented Seat Saving Dynamic Orifice retracts from the low-pressure seat when the regulator is not pressurised.
Benefits:
- Reduces unnecessary seat wear during storage
- Helps preserve factory tuning
- Supports dependable long-term performance
- Contributes to the extended service interval
Stainless-Steel Comfort Swivel
The B2X includes Atomic Aquatics’ patented Comfort Swivel, manufactured from polished 316 stainless steel with a black PVD coating. It provides approximately 30 degrees of rotational movement.
Benefits:
- Reduces hose pulling at the mouth
- Helps minimise jaw fatigue
- Allows comfortable head movement
- Prevents hose binding and kinking
- Provides excellent corrosion resistance
Additional B2X Regulator Features
- Elliptical exhaust valve reduces exhalation effort
